Have you ever gone to a funeral just to go to a funeral? Or maybe to a viewing just to see the corpse? I don't do this, but someone I know is fascinated with death and dead bodies, so I am wondering if there are others out there who engage in such activity in their spare time. R.I.P.

Come on, that drunkard knocked up his defenseless daughters. anyone knocking up their daughters in a drunken state ( or any state) would be jailed, castrated, hung, whatever by the very people who venerate this dirtbag in the bible in today's society. Rightly so! And nobody would buy his story that his daughters "Took advantage of him by seducing HIM in a drunken stupor.... What B.S>>>

As many of you know, wearing a scarf is obligatory in Islam. A guy recently asked his girlfriend whom he was about to marry to start wearing a scarf. They broke up several times because of this since in their country, the religion is rather secular so it would be impossible for her to advance in her career and get a job. in the end she told him that she would consider the issue and finally make the desicion. as soon as she said that he asked her if she would let him have another wife! She broke up immediately. Did she do a right thing????

Ever since the accident, ever since she left, my life has turned into a void of rage and resentment... howling, screaming, scratching the walls in my lonely castle is my only activity... revenge is the only thing that keeps me awake at night.... I'm sick of the moon, the fur, the lonely howls.
But if people are afraid of me....what can I do? How can I take a positive turn in my life with so much rejection and anger?

I'm tired of this huge, crumbling castle... ever since she left, nothing is the same for me anymore. What can I do?

I am quite good with written english but, english being my second language, I have a hard time understanding the english movie dialogues and english song lyrics... and am pretty much used to english as spoken in India with every letter distinct and clear.

How do I train myself to understand the American and British accents, (of which the former is more difficult for me)?

Listening to more songs and watching mre movies isn't helping.

Is listening to more stuff the only answer?

I specifically do NOT NOT NOT want to hear biblical/religious justification, OK? I'm asking for an argument based on logic please. Just, why do you think that not telling the truth is sinful/morally wrong?

500 years before Christ came to this world, this prophet gave exact dates and signs of Jesus´ death. But T.V. stations rather talk about Nostradamus instead of a real prophet

I love the era of the Puritans coming to the 'new world'. I love the era of the old west, and the 1920's-1940's. I feel good when I read about them...like I'm in touch with my roots. I love the Civil War era in history...and reading about the wagon trains coming across and settling the states westward one by one. If I could choose to live during a time other than now, it would probably be during the early 1800's. I wouldn't try to say that I'd enjoy the hardship of those times, but I am endeared by the closeness of family, friends and community, and by the simplicity of everyday life. Yes it was a difficult, HARD existence, but nobody put you on hold...ever.
