If a child were to come after an adult with deadly intent (with a knife) and the Adult had a gun, he already tried to reason with the child to put the knife down, he tried to get the knife away from the child and got stabbed in the leg for his trouble. Now the adult is losing blood and the child is comming in to stab him again. Should he shoot?

I can live a good life and be kind. I can help people, give to charity, help the homeless, etc - generally try to make the world a better place.

Why oh why do the people here tell me I'll go to hell if I don't accept Jesus as my saviour? How do you people come to believe so strongly when there is no evidence at all? Yes there are scripture, but everyone knows those are written by man.

Ok i had a "spirit" in the salon i was working in i know it sounds crazy but its true for the longest time i never beleived in them anyway one year ago we heard her cry and never saw or head anything strange agian why would that happen? Why did she decied to go agter all these years? The building we were in was very old we heard stories about it but dont exactly know what year she past maybe in the 40s or 50s ? If a couple had a verbal argument about bills. and the Wife slaps the husband. The husband gets angry enough over this to Slap the wife back. Since he is stronger by far physically. I'm not really scared of dying. because when your dead... that's it. no more pain, no more fear, nothing else. But, i guess that scares though. either this, life, is it, or it's some test that determines "Where" you go after you die. I want to be here for my family, and my baby. I have to wonder every day if my husband's alright. (he's in Iraq) Every time the phone rings, I wonder if it's someone to tell me the "bad news" about him. I guess I'll be this way until he comes home.

I recently tied the knot with my longtime companion. We had a small wedding at a church, with cake and coffee and punch afterward in the church hall. Everyone knew it was very informal and what to expect at the reception. (my husband and I paid for everything ourselves, and we are not well off) We had a beautiful day, and everything went well. Everyone seemed very happy.
Many of our guests were generous enough to give us gifts. A week later, I deposited the checks that we were given in the bank.
I received a letter in the mail from the bank a few days after that. I was shocked to discover that a friend stopped payment on the check that he had written us. I am not sure how to handle this. I can't understand why he would do this. We always got along marvelously. I checked with the bank...there was no mistake. He just stopped payment, with no word of explaination to me or my husband. What would be the right thing to do? I don't want to seem greedy, only understand what happened.

my gf and i recently wanted to try out a nudist beach,we arent nudists but thought it might be fun to try she bought a see thru G string bather for the occasion.on the day i stripped off first she thought it a good idea to wear the see thru thong bathers at least she had something on till she was comfortable totaly nude,we notice most people wore nothing and a the people had lot of pubic hair whilst we are smoothies,are there any baldies go to these beaches?,she was very shy about being nude and her prominent labia and that blokes would look,i wasnt bothered if they did or not but the fact was she thinks people would look i think they looked more cos she had a see thru bather on and it was a sexy look i told her so.do nude men perv on nude girls in that way?

I was really surprised by alot of christians when you said that you don;t follow the 10 commandments...
I'm not a christian but well all of what it says implies to what people in my religion believe and how they act (Except for the Sabbath day one).
And well nothing is impossible it all depends on whether you want to follow it or not....
AND for those who say that God will forgive them ....
like commandment number 2 says God punishes those who sin and loves those who follow the commandments ......how do u expect to be forgiven when u dont even follow???

another thing:
Commandment No.1: You shall have no other gods before me.
That means there is no other God but me.
There is only ONE God.....
Strictly the 1st commandment.......so why in the world would you call Jesus god????

Why do religious types go on about us not being able to disprove the existence of God? Surely it is for the theorist to prove his/her theory, rather than for others to disprove it. I can't disprove the existence of tapdancing unicorns, but that doesn't mean that I, or anyone else, should believe in them.

Why not stop the fighting, muslims r fighting with christians who r fighting with jews. Why dont we all just forget all the wars and terrorists activity. let bush blair saddam bin laden play there stupid game. wat does that have to do with us. why dont we all become friends. I personally am a muslim and my very best friend who i trust with everything is a christian. And people say muslims r terrorists. if that was true, we would have all been assigned a house and by now we would have blown half the world. that is not true. And i could tell u. that 97% of muslims dont agree with 9/11. I personally donated money to the hospitals and the poor people who their parents died. i personally think osama bin laden is a terrorist. The only problem is that 75% of arabs and muslims are poor. I bet they would have stood beside u if they had a computer and an internet connection. Personally., im an egyptian muslim and all though i am not american, i say, GOD BLESS AMERICA. so what do u say, friends?
