We are going to a wedding at the end of the week and money is tight for us for the next couple of weeks. What could we buy for the ten pound and under mark?

marks and sparks sell a real cute small phot o album, covered in hearts each page has that posh tissue stuff to cover piccies
we gave one as a wedding gift and the couple were delighted because they had heaps of photos from their honeymoon so they put them in the special 'honeymoon album' - it cost about £8.00 so by the time you have bought wrapping paper etc
should come in on budget If you dont fancy that then what about a plain
polished silver plated piccie frame - this is a good stand by gift and
will go with any decor - find these good for almost any occassion.

There are many gifts available - special glasses, nice photograph frame and then supply the photograph after the wedding to go in it. You could then also do small album of the photographs that you take as an add on after the couple of weeks when you have more funds available. No matter how many pictures will be taken you may just take that special one that they will cherish so to have a copy in an album would be great for the couple.

You could also give them a small gift with an IOU of say something that you think they would appreciate - say a first month anniversary meal out.

Yes, put your thinking caps on - and am sure that you will come up with something unique and given with love and best wishes will be good.

Well as you appreciate, then pounds doesn't go far for a wedding present.

I suggest that you buy three nice bottles of wine for them and present them in a cardboard wine carrier that comes from the supermarkets ..... you should be able to do that for around ten pounds and the value won't be obvious. It's something that I would appreciate. Perhaps decorate the carrier with a coloured bow or ribbon.

You could try having a look in a charity shop there are some good new gifts to be had or you could make the £10 donation to charity on their behalf - third world orgs do gift cards with the donation made and what it has gone towards. Personally I like the idea of a personal gift photo frame with a photo in it of an occassion you have enjoyed together.

Practical doesn't always have to be the answer. I found a brilliant site on the web that sells loads of crystalls - I have bought several myself as gifts, in particular hanging crystals that look really expensive, but in fact, the most I paid for one was £6.00. Buy a thin piece of ribbon and attach instead of the nickel chain, and hey presto, a very expensvie looking gift, which would be a lovely keepsake for bride and groom. Try www.Angel-Inspiration.co.uk - nearly always next day delivery and very helpful

A nice bottle of wine is always a good gift. What about small kitchen gadgets arranged in a cute basket. I gave a new bride a box of gadgets, like a wine opener, potato peeler etc and wrapped it in some inexpensive cotton towels to use as cleaning clothes. I remembered when I first married I had no old cloths to clean with and 10 toasters but no vegetable peeler!

ten pounds is a bit mean, can't you get together with some other people going and each put in a tenner and buy something big?

otherwise His and her towels, any linen, tea towels, etc a couple of really nice mugs, or wine glasses.
Or something a bit quirky like a set of wine stoppers/a kitchen gadget/ utensils/a little food hamper/ a good sex guide. pair of furry handcuffs/ Packet of dusters, dishclothes, cleaning stuffs/a toilet brush with loo cleaner/a board game/ a nice house plant, bamboo is supposed to be lucky/ etc.

Asda do some really nice double duvet sets for under £10 and you can never have enough of those, they do really cheap towels, photo frames, vases and numerous others things for under £10, you will even have enough for the wrapping paper at Asda which is also really cheap too, a great place for gifts and I buy tons of them their and save an absolute fortune, good luck.

You could, depending on how well you know the couple make a wedding cd of their favorite music. Gifts from the heart that are homemade I think are sometimes better than store bought.

Well, first I thought of candles - then I thought maybe a spy (member of the brides family) could provide better help, if there is time. Would you be comfortable with a gag gift or a serious gift? Honeymoon night type or more everyday useful? Ha, my minds reeling, sorry!
