I am terribly sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine how it would be to lose one of my children and frankly I don't want to.

Nothing any of you say proves or disproves the existence of god. Bad stuff happens because bad stuff happens. For some god is where they turn, others turn to family, friends drugs, whatever. We each cope with the world the best we can and that simply has to be good enough. It's just the way it is.

Belief does not constitute fact. If you could prove it it wouldn't be faith. Why even try.

I can only hope that time helps heal your hurt.

god is in everything trees, animals, and humans without one the other cant survive everthing has a purpose. I have been through what most would say were extreme events in my life what i have found is that for every negitive event there is a positive, one must find the positive. for example i have a freind that came from kambodia as a small child with her family to the US. have you seen the movie "the killing feilds"? that is what she endured but 100 times worse, very much pain. Now she travels around the world to help other victums that have gone thruogh ethnic cleansing and war.she can relate plus it helped her by speaking about her ordeal with others. I am also a father i can only imagine the loss of a child. your son loves you , so spread as much as you can you may help so many more. god is in you, only you can decide what to do with it, carry anger or love they both can be contadious, which would you like in the world? I think this is where "free will" comes into play, we all have a choice.

I'm an Agnostic. That said, your plight (which I hope mends with time) has nothing to do with whether God exists. The creation will always be less than the creator, whether it's a ship in a bottle or a universe. Perfection would remain unexpressed - if there were no flaws then nothing would have the required boundaries (limitations) to distinguish one thing from another. Look at your avatar; it has brown hair. It does not have blonde, red, black, etc. I can say more about what it is not than what it is. That is the nature of any particular thing. That automatically means even if there is a perfect state, some "not perfect" has to come into it for it to be everything we have in the universe. So an imperfect universe implies nothing about the possibility of a perfect creator. All of this is necessarily imperfect to exist at all.

Maybe it's part of the whole "intelligent design" thing. Maybe God is a big prick. Maybe he's a deadbeat dad that created the universe and nobody's seen him since. Maybe in all his mighty glory he cares as much about you as you would about a tiny insect halfway around the world.

Maybe God is a vengeful one that has decided to "test your faith" by killing your son. Does this sound like the all-forgiving, perfect deity that he's made out to be? Do people mindlessly quoting vague scriptures REALLY make you feel better, or is it just mindless repetition?

Maybe God doesn't exist, and the only power for the future you have is the one you make for yourself.

I am sorry for your loss, and I feel for you as a fellow human being. No parent should outlive their child. Perhaps you could begin to seek more answers than a cookie-cutter religion hands you, since it seems that the one you have is failing to meet your needs. There is so much more to the world than what they are giving you.

So sorry to hear about your un-happiness and loosing your precious son. You are in the stage of your life when the question of why is so normal. You will never get over loosing your son. You'll take that grief to the grave with you. BUT you have got to pull yourself up and out of this. God does not want for you to be miserable. It was not God who did this to you. Life did this to you. You need to be strong and move on in a positive way. You Son would not want for you to be destroyed by all that has happened. He would want for you to be happy and have peace. You need to take it to the Lord and humble yourself , by truely accepting Christ to come into your heart. Sit quietly and read a prayer book or the Holy Bible. You need to re-new your Holy Spirit and bring it back into your life. God did not do this to you. Why does everyone blame God ? Ask and ye shall recieve. Just ask God to comfort you. To lift your grief and burdens. Think of your precious son as he is with the Lord now. This should bring comfort to you. At night before you retire, hold the Bible, and imagine the vision of Jesus in your mind. Take your sadness to the Lord. He will help, if your sincere, I gaurantee it. Take care and may God lift your grief and un-happiness, Always.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. - Psalm 19:1
All of nature points to a creator. If you can look at a newborn infant (who developed from a single cell into a complex, multi-celled person) and say there isn't a God you are not truthful with yourself. Look at the balance of nature: how animals eat plants to keep them from overgrowing, and larger animals eat smaller ones and groups of smaller ones keep the larger ones from running wild. The entire planet is bears the mark of the Living God!
As for bad things happening, it really is a miralce that MORE bad things don't happen. There are millions of children in Africa who don't have parents or don't know where their next meal is going to come from. We have been given SOOO much and take it all for granted. Every now and then I have to take a step back and look at what I have: Roof over my head, food in the fridge, job, family that loves me, good health, friends who think about me (once in a while, anyways).
If you want to see problems, read the book of Job in the Bible. He was a God-fearing man who had been blessed with lots of land and livestock and countless other things. Satan was given permission (God had put a 'hedge' around Job) to do whatever he wanted to Job but spare his life, so he did: his fields were burned, sons and other family murdered, livestock slaughtered, land pillaged. He was plagued with sores all over his body. His wife told him to curse God and die but he asked her if he should follow God in the good times but not in the bad. He understood that his reward in heaven was far greater than anything on this earth.
I hope this answer helped a little . . sorry if it was a little long-winded

well angel,, I dont know if i can answer you satisfactory or not but i will attempt to ok,, God created man and all things,,,,, man created things that can harm, mingle, kill, war, evil, and all things that cause devastation around the world,, I believe in god angel,, even though my wife passed away a time ago,, it was not gods fault , it was just something that happened because man has created things to make it happen,, I dont want to sound like im preaching here but god is real,, just think about it ok ,, just for a minute, God created man,,,, and man created things that make bad things happen and god lets us make such things because he made humankind superior to other life on earth,, god created animals but man created the things that kill animals such as getting hit by cars or being shot by guns and so on and so on,,
I think you get what im saying,, I am very sorry to hear of your loss and you can rest assured that your son is in the care of god as we speak,, also I believe that when we die that we look over others that we love, so he is probobly with you each and every moment of every day,,

I can tell you why I believe, but that will not make you believe or even help you understand why things happen. I felt a power and a presence that could only be the presence of the Lord. I then experienced a healing immediately. I know the Lord is real - not based on words from the Bible or anything someone else said to me. I cannot begin to know why children die or why some suffer from painful diseases and disorders. I only know that God is real and He is rewarding me for my faith in this life and the next.

bad things happen because of sin in the world, and i'm so sorry about your son. but because adam and eve sinned and because u sin and i sin and every 1 else does 2, bad things will hapen.
but why do good things happen in your life? (sounds like u have a really nice guy, from the other question u have). but bad and good things will hapen, and if you haven't excepted Jesus as your Savior then more bad than good things will happen, but if u are saved and living for the Lord a whole lot more good things will happen than bad things.

so sorry to hear about your son xx

if i can say anything at all to you it would be ..
that if there is a god ( which i believe there to be ) then he holds your son safe in his arms until the day you can both be together again
i dont think of God as someone who takes away .. but someone who keeps our loved ones safe
without a God .. without spirit realms ( or heaven if you wish ) .. death would just be the end
i really would love to speak with you about this .. anytime you wish .. even if you just want to vent xx
