"I call you to a much higher flight, to total abandonment, to an act of courage which defies reason. I call you to God. To the One that transcends the world so that you might know an infinite heaven of spiritual joy, the heaven which you presently grope for in your personal hell, and which you seek even while in a state of non-deliberate revolt… Jesus has always loved you, but now you have the choice to respond to His invitation. In responding, you are ordained to go and bear fruit that will remain. To be a prophet of Christ in the world in which you live. To love your neighbor as yourself and to make all men your friend. To proclaim by every action this unique and limitless love which has raised man from the level of a serf to that of a friend of God. To the prophets of this liberating love which delivers you from all constraint, returning to you your integrity as you offer yourself to God."

With all of your faith in religion, are you really ready for death? It seems most have religion for comfort to the troubles of the world. To try and make sense of it to your own truth. But it does not mean it is the truth of the next person's. Which I am not saying is a bad thing at all. But what if you believe is wrong? I am more than sure that everybody believes thier religion is the correct one. From the ones of BC to now. The ones who ever had a near brush with death know what I am talking about. Nobody knows what is expected for the hereafter. And I will not accept the statement that people believe jesus is GOD and there is only one heaven that exists and you have to accept him to enter. Because most christians are there right now, but don't even recognise it. And that is for this life. But what about the next? So my question is, are you really prepared for death?

John 7

17If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

According to this, would you agree that Jesus is saying that an atheist is looking to honor himself while a believer is looking to honor God?

To those who don't know, Inherit the Wind is a play based on the 1920 Scopes Monkey Trial

I thought of this question yesterday on the train.

The question I am asking is from the point of view that culturally Evolutionists won the 1920 Scopes Monkey Trial because it is now acceptable to teach The Theory of Evolution in the public schools.

This question I am asking today is about the Intelligent Design Theory, which clearly all of us agree is a threat to the future of science in America if allowed it to be taught.

With the President of the United States a proponent of its teaching, does this set us back culturally, and do we as a Generation, our Generation X, need to "Inherit the Wind" again as was done in 1920, to preserve the integrity of science education in America.

So basically, is it up to us to "Inherit the Wind" again, in 1920 it was making Evolution acceptable, and now its keeping junk science out of our classrooms?

What if we could CLONE Jesus, but President Bush is just suppressing the technology because he knows he's going to Hell when that happens. Plus, we could make a bunch of Jesi so that you can't kill them all (hey if he can be a trinity, he could be a googleplex)

How many chromosomes would be counted as every living thing has 46 chromosomes, 23 from each parent, father and mother. That means Maria can only donate 23 chromosomes to the foetus Jesus who must have 46 in total. Who donates the remaining 23? Angel Gabriel or Jehovah God himself?

Its not a christian holiday anymore! It became so commercialized that the Christmas has nothing "religious" about it!

If a friend of yours were to set up a community, would you join in? Or are we too obsessed with our privacy?
lets consider a situation where several families/singles/mixed join into a small community.
they can share chores, run a common budget (each keeping his private share, of course), maybe rent one big house for all, share babysitting, utility costs, whatever. Could even have some degree of sexual freedom within community if they must.
There'd be obvoius advantages, e.g. in case one of them is temporarily out of employment, the ship won't sink as it may b the case with a nuclear family
Of course it would only work within a homogeneous social group, otherwise they'd end up like old EU, strong members lose on it while benefits of the weak ones are arguable.
And the community would have to be comparatively small, say, up to 5 families.
Would you chance it, providing you know the participants well? Or would you deem it unviable?

Privacy vs unity! Which one wins?
