Yeah it is a bummer the way the retail environment tries to hurry us all thru the holidays for the sake of their dollar survival.

The real shame is that they play up Halloween and then want to dismiss Thanksgiving and Christmas - the two holidays that should promote home, life and blessings for which we ALL share.

Last year when many of them promoted the deliberate "happy holiday" theme and required their staff to abide - proudly and purposelly made sure I shared my yearly Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

The more you try to remove God, the more He can remove as well and I want it known that I am thankful regardless.

If they are allowed to continue to do any form of these notions it is simply because we their buying public have allowed it to be so.

Wise up America!!!

Positively too early. Christmas should not be on display before Halloween - at the earliest! It's so commercial now! I've seen Christmas ornaments in Hallmark stores in July! That's RIDICULOUS!

I think they should sell Christmas stuff 365 days a year.
That way people can buy little by little, instead of splurging and over spending a week before Christmas.
Just think of how many arguments that would nix: "You spent $863 on that crap?!!! Oh well, I guess we can't pay the rent this month."

I think its early but people buy it so that's why. Also, when I was working, we had no place to store all the stuff coming in (you had to buy it early) So we started to put it out as it came. We put it at the back until it got closer but we sold a lot

YES! I hate it when retailers do this. On one aisle they have Halloween costumes and candy and across the aisle, Christmas tree ornaments. It's sad that we have become so commercial. Let's see...we're in early September now, so I'm guessing in another month or so, next summer's bathing suits will be going on sale. Why do we have to do this??

It should be illegal (only kidding) to sell Christmas stuff or play carols before the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Too soon for me. However, it will be here before we know it. I guess if I were smart I would start shopping now instead of making a mad dash christmas eve to finish my shopping. But thats highly unlikely. I'll be the one smiling as I run over everyone and they run over me. Don't you just love Christmas!

I think it's too early, but obviously the stores don't or they wouldn't be doing it.
