It's their keyboard, why shouldn't they be allowed to use it as they see fit? If it annoys you, just don't read it.

I think it is because they are lazy. Writing as if you are writing an sms is a habit and they are too lazy to break the habit and most probably too lazy to learn to type properly as well. On the whole I have no problem with it... I can understand perfectly what they are trying to say, I just think it might start spreading from internet forums on to official documents... "hi dis is 2 pay my outstndng bnk chrgs" lol

its so much quicker 2 type like in an sms and sumtimes words shud be spelt the way they sound not the way they actually r. It wud make things so much easier 4 foreners!

What is a sms? We have to learn typing very young.

well first the people get use to a mobile phone , second it is faster to type a lesser letter or word you just have to understand the whole meaning of a message not word for word.

bcos they r lazy ... lol
unfortunately, the rise in use of text messaging via mobile phones has led to the intrusion of this "shorthand" into our daily lives. people are just too lazy to type full, correctly-spelt words when they know most people can understand the abbreviated text forms.
we're stuck with it I fear!

cause ppl love to be fast and short these days ....it s the language of today accept it or not !
..when i am online if one type "you are"- instead of " u r " - that s not annoying but a bit odd 2 me !!!
