This is an excerpt from some of the research that has been done on the Shroud of Turin.
And for those that state that the Shroud of Turin is a hoax, why has the sceintific community spent so many hours and money researching it. The Shroud exists today, therefore it is not a hoax. The question remains, is it the burial cloth of Christ. For all intensive purposes, the evidence of this cloth shows that it ......
1. is the burial cloth of a person. (a special note here should be made, burial cloths generally never lasted long after the body started decomposition, so this cloth was removed from the body shortly after death/burial)
2. it is human blood
3. that the person appears to have been Male (unless females at the time had beards)
4. this person had wounds in his wrists
5. they appeared to have worn a crown of thorns (the crown seems to have been a rough bunch of thorns and not the wreath shaped crown of thorns so common in artistic depictions)
6. that blood ran from a chest wound, this suggests that the man received a postmortem stabbing wound in the vicinity of the heart.
7. that blood ran down his arms and that this blood flowed while the man was upright with his arms at angles like the hands of a clock at ten minutes before two
8. that many details on the shroud that suggest both a beating and falling: a severely bruised left kneecap, possibly a dislocated nasal cartilage, a large swelling near the right eye socket and cheekbone.
9. there are significant abrasions on both shoulders. On the shoulders, welts from the apparent scourging are abraded as though rubbed over. Might this be from carrying the patibulum, the crossbeam of the cross, across both shoulders?
10. has not been painted
11. the image is from the discoloration of a thin layer (thinner than bacteria) of soapwort used in the first century to clean linen.
12. the carbon dating tests conducted in 1978 were flawed.
13. the image when applied to a VP-8 image analyzer creates a 3-D image. (Let's be clear: You can not plot a regular photograph this way. Nor can you do so for a painting, even a brown and white painting. You can do so with a precise copy of the Shroud, however.)
As for your question...
"Several claims have been made that the blood has been found to be type AB, and claims have been made about DNA testing. We sent blood flecks to the laboratory devoted to the study of ancient blood at the State University of New York. None of these claims could be confirmed. The blood appears to be so old that the DNA is badly fragmented. Dr. Andrew Merriwether at SUNY has said that "… anyone can walk in off the street and amplify DNA from anything. The hard part is not to amplify what you don't want and only amplify what you want (endogenous DNA vs contamination)." It is doubtful that good DNA analyses can be obtained from the Shroud."

This is an interesting secular-minded question. Any answer must ignore the faultiness of the original premise, since no actual blood of Jesus could have survived to present day and the so-called Shroud of Turin never had any actual connection with Jesus.
Clearly, the Almighty Creator Jehovah is not limited to the typical genetic, chemical, and physical laws. In other words, God can perform miracles. To some extent, it is silly to try and guess at how bible miracles were accomplished.
It would seem that the human Jesus must have had some genetic material from Mary (or "Maria") so that he could truly be a Davidic King and Abraham's Seed. It seems likely that Jehovah directly created the rest of Jesus' human DNA.

First, Mary is her name, no Maria. In Hebrew it is Mariam.
They have do tests on the blood. They announced that it was human, it was male and it was type A. I haven't heard anymore detail on it.
Jesus was 100% divine and 100% human. He could be this way because He is God and God can do whatever He wants. Period. If a human has 46 chromosomes (I'm not up on this stuff yet) then God made Jesus with 46 chromosomes. It doesn't matter who gave it to Him, where He inherited it from, how it got there. God did it because He is God and He can. Period. I see science as a form of philosophy and feels the need to have to have an answer for everything. If there is not answer then science simply says they have to do more research to find the answer. Faith simply says things I don't have to have the answer to everything because God did it all and knows it all. Having faith is a big leap in one's life. It can be scarey and can be full of questions. But faith's answer to every questions turns toward God.

Well considering that Jehovah God (you yourself used the term) created all human beings, he would be able to be sure that Jesus had the correct amount of hormones to live a healthy life.
Physical sex was not involved with Mary's pregnancy. God simply transferred Jesus life force into Mary's egg, so that it could grow into a human child.
Adam, on the other hand, was created as an adult human.
I seriously doubt that the Shroud of Turin, is actually the death shroud of Jesus. No more than the Holy Grail is actually the cup that Jesus used on the final night of his life. They are just "hype".

Jesus was not buried in a shroud. Do some research concerning how Jews prepared the bodies for burial...They were wrapped beginning at the feet to the top of the head...So there was no shroud. And when Jesus was reserrected on the third day, the grave cloths were left behind.

How might utilising the DNA to clone somebody coach something? you will have a clone, now what? do you comprehend what Christ recognized like so which you will tell it wasnt his DNA on the Shroud ? Why might you think of his DNA could be so unique, bodily he became a extraordinarily accepted guy. as properly, the Catholic church has an indicator and patent on the DNA so purely they could legally clone the pattern. As a facet notice, there are some who think of this cloning has already taken place, and the product is now the U. S. President.

Well, supposedly jesus is the son of god himself, and completely human as well as completely divine. Therefore he would have to have human dna. But you actually missed the point. The shroud of turin has been dated in multiple ways and found to be from a much later time period, which would make it tough for it to contain blood from jesus. If someone were to try to test the blood and profile it--say, look for racial markers, which has become possible in the last few years, they would undoubtedly find that the sample has deteriorated to the point that it can't be used for testing. There are criminal cases from 15 years ago in which the dna has degraded to the point that it can't be tested; I doubt material 1000--1200 years old is still viable.

Haven't you ever watched any of those shows on the NGC or Discovery? It has been proved already that the shroud of Turin was not the one that covered the Jesus of the Bible story.
They have proved that years ago and yet you hold on to a belief that is a myth. So much for your christian learning. What will they teach you next? That Jesus was a real God with real powers? Wrong, just a man like any other with no powers except a really good persuasive salesman like attitude.

For everyone that makes specific claims about Jesus being only a man (when the only historical and biblical proof and evidence we have points to him being much more than a man), when do you plan on coming forward to the scientific community with your invention of the time machine?
No, no... really... when? Because there must be thousands upon thousands of them floating around... What do you employ to make them work? Time dilation theory? Wormholes? The invention of the flux capacitor?
Every bit of scientific, historical, and biblical evidence points towards the legitimacy of the Bible and the existence of God. If you don't believe me, I will be more than happy to have an in-depth discussion about astro-physics and quantum mechanics with anyone who wishes to speak.

All the chromosomes were Jesus. His life was transformed from heaven into a human form. Kind of like cloneing is today.
He didn't need any from Mary. She was merely the maiden chosen to carry the fetus.
