With all of your faith in religion, are you really ready for death? It seems most have religion for comfort to the troubles of the world. To try and make sense of it to your own truth. But it does not mean it is the truth of the next person's. Which I am not saying is a bad thing at all. But what if you believe is wrong? I am more than sure that everybody believes thier religion is the correct one. From the ones of BC to now. The ones who ever had a near brush with death know what I am talking about. Nobody knows what is expected for the hereafter. And I will not accept the statement that people believe jesus is GOD and there is only one heaven that exists and you have to accept him to enter. Because most christians are there right now, but don't even recognise it. And that is for this life. But what about the next? So my question is, are you really prepared for death?

I believe that if you live a good, decent life and live according to your beliefs that God will honor that and you will see Him in heaven. Even though I am a Christian, I don't condemn other people (Hindus, Muslims, etc...) who are convicted in what they believe. My religion may say that Jesus is the only way, but I find that hard to reconcile with the fact that many people did not know him before they died or died before he was born. What will happen to those people? I have a hard time believing in a fire-burning, soul-torching hell because an all-knowing, all-loving God would not create that.

As far as dying, I am not afarid if it is my time to go. I've never been afarid of death because I know that the next life is going to be so much better than this, and all our wrongs will be righted, and all our messups will be fixed. So it is not something to be feared, but something to look forward to. I have been at several funerals that have honored the person's life and the people there respected that it was their time to go. We can't change it, we must face it and accept it.

I'm exicted and scared. I am scared because I truly don't know what will happen after I take my last breath. I am scared that I may go to hell because I have committed many sins in my life and I have tried to repent them all but at times I fall back into that sin. I am scared of hell simply because I don't want to feel pain forever. But I am also scareds of hell because that means that I didn't do what God told me to do. Yet I am excited because I really want to meet God, I want to be next to Him, to see Him and be happy and at peace forever, if I go to Heaven. I am excited to see what it really is and see how close we've come to visualizing it all. If God truly doesn't exist then I have no fear or any other emotions because I will be decaying in the ground and that's that.

My Catholic faith doesn't give me comfort from all the problems in the world. Problems haunt me. My faith comforts me because I believe that there is someone/something out there that wanted me here. No human can love that much, no one has ever loved me unconditionally, people hurt me. But I find comfort in the Lord knowing that He loves me so much that he wanted me to exist and to experience a life. It makes me cry because I am not worthy of His love. I am a sinner. I do things often that probably hurts His feelings, makes Him sad or even cry. He wants what's best for me and has given me the tools to do it. But I have made some bad decisions that have hurt me and others. I have forgiven myself and I pray that God has looked into my heart and forgiven me.
I respect all religions. We have the right, the free will, to believe what we believe. I may be completely wrong about all of this but this is what I believe and I comforts me.

You said that you will not accept the statement that people believe Jesus is God. You have to accept that people believe that but you don't have to believe it yourself. And, that there is only one heaven that exists, I don't understand what you mean by that. I've never heard of more than one Heaven. I personally don't think that most Christians are in Heaven right now. People say they are a Christian but they don't live a Christian based life and practice their true religion.

To sum it all up, I am really prepared for death. Some days my earthly life is really boring and upsets me. Heaven will be perfect and I want that. If I go to hell, I will understand why.

I am ready when my Father in Heaven calls me home, yes...I am ready to face death.

I see it like this, I know my faith is real...I know what I believe is right. If for some mysterious reason, if there was no Jesus...no God, etc., at least I have lived my life loving people and serving people (Jesus commands us to do this). If I'm wrong, I have lost nothing and have loved many.

If I am right, I have lost nothing and my only hope is that I will hear from my Father: "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Since I am a follower of Jesus Christ, I am ready for death. Do I want to die, no...but I'm ready for when I am called home.

John 14:6 Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life and no ones comes to the father but through me.

I believe the Holy Bible. I believe Jesus when He tells us He is the only way to God.

I believe...

If you were to ask me this question, my answer would most probably be 'NO'. Even though I may be religious to a certain extent, I don't think I would die for what I believe in. Reason is simple, all man fears death. We are all created to fear death so that we may learn. Think of this, if we did not learn that falling off a building will die, would we be still next to an edge without any precaution? Even Apostle Paul who had seen great miracles done by Jesus denied Him. Apostle Paul told Jesus this, I will not forsake you and Jesus told him this, before the rooster crows twice, you would have denied me three times. Words with faith are cheap. When death really threatens, who you really die for your religion's sake? I have no doubt for the faith of terrorists though.

When it is God's timing and purpose, I will die no matter how I am going to escape it. (Anyway you can't escape death which make Final Destination fake, hehe) May I be of His will and not of mine.

If I'm wrong about being a Christian, then I'll have lived a good life here, with community, friends, family, and blessing that have come from somewhere (I believe from God). I've learned to help my fellow man. I've learned that life explodes when I give and sacrifice. The less concerned I am with me, the more my life seems to improve, not to mention the lives around me. If I'm wrong, what's the harm in any of that?

Let's take the hypothetical further and say that I'm wrong but there is still an afterlife: I've lived my life spreading love and acceptence. If that's wrong to whomever is in charge of this other afterlife, I'll face the consequences. To me, love can't be wrong.

I will be ready for my peace when it is ready for me. I do not fear coming to rest, coming to an understanding of the greatest intelligence in the universe. The ONLY intelligence, the source of the ALL and the everything. I look forward to being with my Lord and my God when my body gives up the ghost and I have learned how to become a part of everything that is, on a spiritual level.

The religious are in for a rude awakening at the time of the death of their bodies. Your soul still... has so much to learn.

I have no Faith in religion... My faith and belief and heart and soul is with God. Not with a man, in a building, and a dogmatic historic doctrine biased and changed to suit the purposes and greed of man.

Young people, are not prepard for death. They want to live their lives, have children, become rich while they live. When God comes to take them home at a young age, I firmly believe that they will happily take God's hand and never look back. When the final second comes, I believe we will all want to go into the welcoming arms of God. But until that time, we need to do the best we can. As a person becomes older, I firmly believe they are ready. Many elderly people that I have known are ready. Some have even went so far as to label items, with names so they will make sure the children recieve material items, they want. One lady smiled and said Goodbye, before her surgery. Many look forward to be greeted by their Mothers and Fathers, or beloved family that have already been welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven. What a wonderful thought. One young man said when he had awaken from near death, that he did not want to come back to earth, but wanted to be held in the loving arms of God, and he was disappointed that it was not his time to go. It would be a nightmare, had we been taught to death by going to hell. So us Christians and others who pray in the name of the Father, Son(Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. We believe. Come join us in believing, the right decision.

I don't believe anyone can be ready to die or for death. Myself, I am prepared to die for my faith. Not for war, not for protecting a country, not for a political agenda, only for God and Christ and their teachings. If your faith is strong, and you believe in the Resurrection, then it doesn't matter what happens to you, because God can resurrect you. (Acts 24:15) Death is something we face every hour and every minute of the day, so a person can't be mentally or physically ready, because it can happen on a moments notice. The question that we as religious people should ask ourselves is: If I die will i be resurrected? Was my actions in line with the bible? So we should be spiritually strong, so if death comes our way, then we need not worry about what happens because Gods promises always come true.

I almost died a couple of years ago and it is the main reason why I was drawn to study religion on my own. I have looked into several and decided no man led religion is the one for me. I read the bible, pray, lead a good life, ask forgiveness for my sins, treat everyone I meet with respect. I have my own personal walk I take with Jesus everyday and yes if it were time for me to go I feel like I have gotten my affairs in order and it would be peaceful.

I am not ready for death, but not scared to die! I am comforted by the fact that if I die my husband and children would be helped by God,family and friends.
I would love to spend the rest of my life with my husband, and watch my children grow up.
I believe that when I die I will go to heaven so I do feel very prepared for death.
You are right most people believe that their "religion" is the right one, and that's ok, for me I can only know what I trust to be truth and share that with people who want and need to hear it. People were given free will, free choice, they can choose whatever they want to believe. I hope that their choice is not regrettable later.
