When you know the promises of God, you don't have to prove anything

When you know the faithfulness of God, you don't have to fear anything

And when you know the fellowship of God, you could even lose a friend...BECAUSE GOD IS ENOUGH

i heard that on Christian radio today, thought i'd share it. :) God bless

OK, I'm in bathrooms and I see other guys enter the toilet stall while they're talking on their cell phones. Some will enter the stall holding on to their coffee mug.. ....and some take reading material in with them while they're doing their business. Now, I don't consider myself a Jerry Seinfeld type germ-a-phobe; but I do think its gross that these guys are taking these items into the bathroom stall w/ them. Do you agree or not?

I do not hate gays, but I am VERY scared of them.

Three months ago my best friend "came out" and since then I started distancing myself from him. I do not want to, but my fear is too strong! Life is seeming not so important without my friend, and I am really depressed too. But I do not know how I can stop being scared of gay people! Do you know how I can stop?

So Christians believe that Jesus is their savior but that they don't know, they believe. Big difference. If you can't know something, you believe it for some positive gain. Is Christianity just really self-gratifying and that's why it has done so well?

I'm not denying there is a creator, but what makes Christ any different from all the other false prophets

According to this scripture, only those who constantly do good--by faith--know the difference between right and wrong.

Hebrews 5:14

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Ecclesiastes 5:1

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

Would that not be enough of a reason to believe and read it?

I know there a heaven and what the bible says is totally true, but even of your a non believer, wouldnt it be worth a try to see if it make you happy and gives you a inner peace.

The closest equivalent I can think of is perhaps Stephen Hawkings, and Stephen Jay Gould when he was alive. Stephen Jay Gould gave commencement when I received my BA from Michigan State in 1999, I hung on every word.

Who has taken his place?

The fundamentalist Christian equivalent of a modern day William Jennings Bryant appears to be the Pat Robertsons and Jerry Farwell, and while I like Farwell's intelligence I don't think I would be able to get a good debate out of him.

Who are the modern equivalents of Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryant, the giants of intellect in the 1920 Scopes Monkey Trial?

A lot of people apparently assume that because Christianity is either correct or it isn't, this somehow constitutes a 50-50 chance. Numerous apologist arguments, such as Pascal's Wager, are based on this assumption.

However, to determine the mathematical probability that a specific proposition about God is accurate, we must first determine the total number of possible states that could exist. Are there really only 2? Since God is an unknowable entity, I would postulate that there are infinite possible states - for all we know, God could be an entity for which the notion of "existence" in not applicable.

So given an infinite number of possible "Ultimate Truths", is there any reason to think yours is more likely than another? Keeping in mind that your personal faith has no bearing on probability, the chances of you being right is exactly 1 divided by infinity, or one infinitieth.

On the bright side, at least one of the inifinite possibilities must be correct. Maybe it's yours.

Because there is a strong possibility that Hell doesnt exsist and heaven may not be what we think it is. I think we are reincarnated not so much into animals but we are given another chance to learn life lessons again and when its not our turn to be reincarnated or to come back we are set to help others in the world. We become their spirit guides or their Guardians spirits who protect them, we might even help family members life neices and nephews or children from the otherside.this would really explain why so many people feel the presence of their Grandparents or Kids are always seeing people or look they are laughin at nothing or to them selves! Those who lived horrible lives and used their time here not to learn and live but to destroy life and the such dont get their time at all or have to work so hard in the afterlife to even get the chane. This is why hitler would never come back! What do you guys think!?
