Everything good is from God:
James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
The devil's works are murder, and lies:
John 8:44b, "He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Satan is considered to the ruler of this world and the brains behind the political system. Revelation 12:9 and 1 John 5:19. Satans works are displayed in human actions. 1 Cor 6: 9. When humans display these types of behavior, then they are practicing works of the Devil.
Galatians 5: 22, 23 shows us what Gods qualities are and they are the complete opposite of Satans works.

Its common sense that wars are from Satan cuz why would God make all these ppl just to destroy them?? He isnt stupid. He helped stop WW2 and angels were seen in the sky...Hitler didnt get the world.
I dont have time for a big search right now I know alot of verses by heart but not always right where they are
There was one time when Satn begged Jesus to go into the pigs He wants bodies to inhabit like Charles Manson too.. See Matt 5:28-34

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

The works of God can be anything in your life. God has a plan for everyone, and Satan tempts us. The works of satan would be temptations you have, which result in negative consequences. Also God love everyone, so he will never directly hurt us, but he allows stuff to happen to us, which is part of his plan. Jesus was tempted by the devil after he was baptized. Jesus was tempted and overcame it so he could relate to our temptations. Satan wants to drive us away from God, so he will do things to us, which people blame on God. But in your walk with God, the times when you are at your lowest are the times when God carries you.

Luke 6:44,45 "For every tree is known by his fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh."
If someone claims to be from God, they should show the fruit of God's Word. Their works should be God's Works. Obviously, people aren't perfect, and just as a fig tree will sometimes have a wormy fig, even a relatively good person will sometimes screw up. But on the main, a person who does the works of God, uplifts the word of God, follows the commandments of God, should not be quickly and quietly dismissed without being carrefully studied.

Acts 10:38 "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.
Healing the work of God.
Oppression and disease the work of the devil.
Psa 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destruct ions.
Who was His Word?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
1 John 3:8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
HOW????
1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
What is that seed?
The WORD.
The WORD OF GOD ABIDES IN HIM.
WHO?
JESUS HIMSELF.

We're getting into nursery school stuff now, it seems. The works of God produce a benefit whilst the works of Satan produce death, destruction and pain.
