That question has been asked already.

If he was or wasn't it is none of your business.

His religious affiliation had nothing to do with the fact that he was a great husband, great father, really good with animals and helped the environment on a daily basis.

Tell me what have you done in your life to make the lives of others better?

I suspect NOTHING but try to put down other people because you have so many insecurities in your own life.

CRAWL back into your little hole in the ground.

Well, not knowing him personally I would have no way of knowing for sure. However, there are two things that make me believe that he was indeed a Christian. First, if you have ever heard him talk in interviews on TV like his Larry King interview, he talks about God a lot during the entire conversation. Secondly, I have heard his staff and others who knew him interviewed on TV. They say when he came into a room it was like "a ray of sunshine" just entered, that he was always full of happiness and made others happy. He was also a wonderful father and husband who loved his wife and children dearly. So yes, I do believe he is a Christian and is present in Heaven now with Jesus Christ. I have nothing to back it up except that he was always full of joy and spoke of God.

Christians can still be stung and stabbed by a stingray. It does not mean that he wasn't a Christian because this happened to him. Bad things happen to Christians the same way they happen to anyone else. I hope this answer helps. :-)

I attend a church in Adelaide, South Australia and this morning our Pastor (Danny Guglielmucci), said that Steve Irwin responded to an alter call at a church his wife has been attending for a while.
I think he knows the pastor of that church.
Either way, God knows and any question that gets people talking about this sort of stuff is good....I think

Steve had his son blessed by Buddhist monks in public. I don't know if he was Christian. It's well known that he subscribed to evolution theory, but many Christians do that, too, and he did mention God a lot in interviews, mostly in terms of why he was put on this Earth. In any case, what is with some of you?

"He put his daughter in danger, he disrespected wildlife, etc." Brianna, for one thing, he had his son in the crocodile pen, and knew what he was doing. The baby was in no danger, the situation was perfectly under control. And as for disrespecting wildlife, you couldn't be farther off. He was very respectful of the natural habitats of the creatures he encountered on television and took care to educate and entertain while also making sure to minimize levels of stress on the creatures he interacted with.

And as for the guy who thinks we don't need to protect dangerous animals, learn a little something about ecosystems. People are killing crocodiles and snakes left and right in Australia because they're dangerous, but they're very important to the ecosystem there. Plus, where is it human right to wipe out species we regard as threatening? They've been on this planet longer than us, and if we give them the respect they deserve, like Steve did, we really have very little to fear from them.

Please, people. Give the man a little respect. He made a greater positive impact on this world through his efforts to protect the environment than most people could make in two lifetimes.

I also heard today in a church here on the Gold Coast that he gave his life to Jesus about 2 weeks ago, which would be great for him and his family - even if some of you don't get it.

Anyway, he was a very interesting (and crazy) person and I hope to see him again one day. And I am proud to say that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour...

I read a few minutes ago an article that says that Terri makes surprise visits to area churches with her children and sends them into Sunday school with instructions to not allow them to be bombarded with questions. I know that her faith will help her through this tragedy and I hope that she and Steve shared faith in Christ.

To those who say it is "none of our business", God asks us to make it our business. He asks us to make it our business that when we have developed a personal relationship with Him (not religion... relationship) that we share that relationship with others. Maybe for you life ends here, but for those who have accepted Christ's gift of salvation, this is not the only life there is, and we hope to see Steve when we get to Heaven too.

BTW, I don't pray for people who are dead. I only pray for the living. When you're dead it will be too late to make a decision.
