Because there is a strong possibility that Hell doesnt exsist and heaven may not be what we think it is. I think we are reincarnated not so much into animals but we are given another chance to learn life lessons again and when its not our turn to be reincarnated or to come back we are set to help others in the world. We become their spirit guides or their Guardians spirits who protect them, we might even help family members life neices and nephews or children from the otherside.this would really explain why so many people feel the presence of their Grandparents or Kids are always seeing people or look they are laughin at nothing or to them selves! Those who lived horrible lives and used their time here not to learn and live but to destroy life and the such dont get their time at all or have to work so hard in the afterlife to even get the chane. This is why hitler would never come back! What do you guys think!?

What will happen after I pass away is that I will see Jesus Christ face to face in Heaven. "Absent from the body, present with the Lord". Why will I see him at that point? Because I asked Jesus Christ to come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, change my life, trusted that He died on the cross to pay our sin debts, and that he rose again on the 3rd day. And He has changed my life! I do not doubt my faith in Jesus Christ so I have no reason to doubt the existence of Heaven or Hell. I know there is both, and I know where I am going. Praise God!

interesting theory. Personally I hope we're not as bound to this planet afterwards, our energy anyway, or soul, whatever you want to call it. I hope that afterwards we can travel through space a little and explore some other galaxies that have life, or travel as a beam of light through galaxies that don't, simply to marvel at how huge and amazing it is. And I don't think time exists for us in that state, so we could travel through space for what would seem like millenia here on Earth, but come back, as you say, to our time. Just my idea though.

The whole concept of a soul that carries on after death is bogus - what we think of as 'me' is just a mental construct arising from neurological processes in the brain. When we die, no more brain processes, no more 'me'. Death is it - The End. Nothing comes after because there isn't anything left to experience the after.

on the intelectual level we can only speculate. on a spiritual level we must turn to faith.as for myself i believe in the bible, and that jesus was the mesiah i m not sure of what i believe concerning non christans. when i read the book of revilations in the bible it looks like the genuine thing to me.when comparing it to what,s going on in the world today.the prophacy of nearly four thousand years ago can hardly be coencidental.and too there is a lot of arcelogical evedinces confirming biblacil records too but basicly i cannot give you a satisfactory answer to your queston

I am sure that I will spend some time in Purgatory, I have not lived a perfect life. At some point I hope to be good enough to make it to heaven.

Peace!
