It's just utter plain dumb stupidity that cause the producers to have such an idea.
This is no more about ratings, money and advertisement. It is more about how the audience would react to it. I mean, even now, people are still bias towards their own race and treat others differently. This "competition between the races" may cause some people to see which is the "best" race.
The result would be devastating. There would be people saying "Our race won!!" or "Your race was f**king weak in that challenge." It would only cause more hostility between the races.
To me, all races are equal, despite of what they believe in. So I would rather they get divided into male/female, academic-smart/street-smart or pretty/not-so-pretty.
I'm so for the smarts division.

It annoys me because Latinos ARE white people. It is NOT another race! So, they should say something about dividing the participants by race OR ethnicity. Other than that, who care? They're doing that because "Survivor" is going down the tube and it needs people to talk about and watch it to stay on the air. And you're doing just what they hoped people would do.
