Would that not be enough of a reason to believe and read it?

I know there a heaven and what the bible says is totally true, but even of your a non believer, wouldnt it be worth a try to see if it make you happy and gives you a inner peace.

I was a "believer" for most of my young life, and no, it didn't make me happy. I read the bible and felt wrongness coming from it. I listened to my preacher tell me homosexuals were going to hell and I knew I could never believe that. At the same time, I felt guilty for not believing what so many people were telling me was "true" and "right." It made me very depressed for a while. But when I started studying other paths of belief and became an Agnostic, the depression melted away, because I was finally being who I really am.

Why does it matter to people what others believe? How come people must advertise and defend their religion? What a world of peace we would live in if people didn't fight over religion.
