Gal 5:1Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Gal 5:2Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Gal 5:3For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Gal 5:4Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

I was on my home from shopping on Saturday and I got on a train. When it stopped at a station, I heard a thud and realised that someone had thrown something at my window. As I looked out, I saw a girl in a track suit, no more than 13-14 who then went on to stick her fingers up at me, with no provocation or anything of the sort. I was angry at the time but now I feel sorry for her. But I don't understand where this mentality to harass others comes from! Any thoughts on this?

Who here has stepped off that cliff and left the security of faith behind them?

I have and it didn't feel good. A friend of mine became suicidal when going through it and she opted back into religion because she couldn't cope without her faith.

I don't believe anything and have learned so much from my experience. It's difficult to remain completely unbiased in a culture that says, 'If you don't believe 'x', you must believe 'y''. Get me? I just cannot buy into fluff and fantasy, even though it would make me feel cosy like a drug.

My payoff is knowing that I'm open to truth whatever form it may take, not molding reality to fit my perceived view on truth / fact.

If you have had a similar experience - how do you face life's unknowns. What is your payoff?

(This sincere question is not intended to incite Christians into a rant & rave preachathon - Just those answering the question would be appreciated.)

behavior that at least appears to be unethical; maybe these people are nanobot robots (supposedly still at the theoretical stage)? It makes sense that if some group of people were first smart enough to become very wealthy, that they would then attempt to hide who they were. For example, watches that are worth very little but have large pricetags . .could be a way of making it seem like these people are passing money back and forth between them . . .

Would you marry a man who had no job, no house, no transportation, lived with His mother still, always traveled in a crowd, hung out with prostitutes, had no time for you, travels all the time, could offer you no privacy, and had 12 best male friends who liked to fish? Knowing these things only would you pick him for a husband? Now tell me why some still think Jesus was married to Mary Magdelene?

There are some churches where beautiful chairs are reserved for the pastors, deacons, leaders and the elders.I like to sit in the crowd. Is it neccessry to bring in those seats that are claimed to be for special people in the church? Are we not one in christ and we have to share with one another? If this question is wrong please excuse me. I am worried about it because I have just been asked to go and be sitting in those places and I have refused.

I know there are 200+ but was unaware how they are found. I would think Talmud as it goes over the law in detail. I have not completed the Torah but have not seen much on all the laws. Does Talmud go hand to hand with Torah?

I'm a Japanese speaker.

PastPerfect and Past tense are still confusing to me.
I know Past Perfect shows 2events in the past.

My text books says
I had lived in Tokyo for 3 years. isnt correct.
I lived in Tokyo for 2yers. is correct.
He had worked for 30years untill he retired. is correct.

How about this?
She had been taking a bath when the phene suddenly rang.
I think it's not correct. The verb should be WAS.
'cause In this term, there is not interval of the time. It's just the
point of the time(when the phone rang)

She had been taking a bath until the phone suddenly rang.
I think it's correct. Because [untill the pone rang ] implies the interval of the time in the past. That's whey Past Perfect is appropriate for this term.

What do you think???

I know this is really trivial for the communication in English, but I'm reqired such a knowlege in the test.

Thank you in advance!
