This isn't meant to be a sexist question, as I think women are better at a lot of things than men but am wondering what you think. Don't restrict your answers to just just jobs or sports but maybe include some mental/social/emotional skills etc.

My mom is 100% Irsih, and my dad is Asian. Every since I was a child, I'd get weird looks and comments from strangers and family members. Family reunions were painful as a child and they still are. How do some of you deal with this?

When we ask religious folks why people do such evil things, they often say that god had to give us free will and free will means the freedom to do evil things. So, does god have free will, and if so why doesn't he do evil things? If he has free will and doesn't do evil things, then why can't we be the same? If he doesn't have free will then how could he give us something that he doesn't have himself?

Jesus supposedly existed in order to save us, but if Jesus was god then he was saving us from himself. Wouldn't it have been simpler to just make us in such a way that he didn't need to condemn us in the first place?

When asked Muhammad said that he doesnt know when the day of judgement will be, and that only God knows. This is as muslims would expect as he said he was a messenger of god, and that knowledge is only with god.

Jesus said only God knows also. For muslims he would say this becaus he was also a prophet.

However for Christians he is God incarnate/God's son? How come he didnt know when the hour will be?
Does the father know things that the Son does not know? yet they are still co-equal? Why does the Son pray to the Father if they are in a trinity as one god?

Serious answers please

It seems that we tend to view freedom as being without ties or without responsibility, where no one has any claim on who we are or what we do. In short, freedom gets pigeon-holed as American/Western individualism I think.

All comments are welcome.. :)

Most of us are identified with being our "story" of who we are.

We say things like, "I am John or Jane. I am a ____________ (job title) and then go on to describe our physical attributes or our hobbies or interests. But these things change constantly. Are we really that changeable? I don't think so. I think there's an unchanging part of us that we fail to look at and so end up identifying with everything else (our body/appearance, our mind/thoughts, our feelings, our social status, our life situation, our relationship, etc) instead of with the true core of our being.

If we get in touch with what it feels like to be "us", I think it is really a feeling of "being" that has never changed -- like a movie screen upon which all our changing life stories "about" who we "think" we are, get projected. Yet this screen never seems to get affected.

Coming from this perspective, beyond your "story" of who you "think" you are, who are you? Who would you be if you had no mind and no body?

I want to know why some people think Islam is messed up? And Why people dislike ALL Muslims because some bastards can't interpret things correctly and blow themselves up while killing many people in the process. No where in Islam does it say commiting suicide will send you to Paradise. Or killing a person who doesn't agree with Islam will also send you to Paradise. I am Muslim, I would never hurt anyone for choosing something other than Islam! I don't even care if you are an atheist! I have my own beliefs and you have your own. I wonder sometimes why these people who kill, commit suicide and offend other peoples belief call themselves Muslim! In Islam every human being has no right to stop someone from believing what they want and even worse murder them for it! I don't consider these people Muslim no matter how much they say it. I just don't appreciate stereotypes who think Muslims and their religon is messed up. I'm still curious as to why people still think ALL Muslims are CrAzY?

I spent a weekend with my sister, a devoted Mormon, and she couldn't answer my question. She couldn't say that she believed that Jesus Christ was present at the creation of the universe, she couldn't say that her life was totally dedicated to faith in Jesus Christ (God the Son, part of the Trinity) and started to sound like a polytheist at the end of the day.

What did Joseph Smith say about God in the King Follett Discourse? Why did Brigham Young refer to the Trinity as a "monster?"

I think this should be a commandment maybe the only one needed.
To bad God didn't have a dictionary he could have put this one in the 10 commandments.
Think about it.
This one little word covers every thing you would do wrong to someone.
Lets make it one now ...or is it to late?
