You probably hate plane spotters cause they have a hobbie that they can do from anywhere............ on the other hand train spotters have to go to there hobbie!!!!!

I dont think it is unchristian of you. Different people like different things, and if they are passionate about their hobby, then of course they are going to think its the best.
Personally i love to take a drive to the airport and sit under the flight path at heathrow.
