My mom is 100% Irsih, and my dad is Asian. Every since I was a child, I'd get weird looks and comments from strangers and family members. Family reunions were painful as a child and they still are. How do some of you deal with this?

I had the same problem years ago. I even went to the psychiatrist for this problem. The doctor asked me: who do you think you are deep in your soul? That person you are. He was right. I never had those personality problems anymore. I am who I think I am, and I must accept it. All people around me will accept this. Every person in the world has a special value despite his race or skin colour.

I think parents are foolish if they think that their union, though perhaps producing beautiful and brilliant children will not attract negative attention.
I am all for mixed marriages but it is the parents' job to ensure that their children are not harmed by the people around them due to something the children have no control over.
Some children choose to not tell their parents for fear of hurting them. These poor souls will silently endure the name calling and the stares etc even from those who are supposed to be family...ignorant jerks.
When you're young, you think that you are the freak. But as you grow, you'll, I hope appreciate your uniqueness and beauty. Scars remain and there will be days when you'll still think that you're a bit different. And you are, but now, it's a good thing. Each day will be a struggle because ignorant people fear and therefore hate those who are different.
You need to build on your inner strength and just soldier on.

You are who you think you are. Be the best person you can. Do you really care what those klan a holes think.... comments? tell that person what a low life pile of crap they are to think that way an how rude to say.......
