Why is it that some churches only do baptisms while others only do christenings?? And if you get baptised at a church...do you have to stay at that church or can you go to another church?? Just to let you know, I haven't been baptised yet...what does it feel like to be baptised??

I'm sorry, but I had to ask this again. Some people said that animals don't go to heaven because they lack souls. I don't feel that's right. If I have a soul, then I feel like my cat should have a soul as well.

I see questions and answers that are offensive to me. Why is everyone protected from offense except me. I see questions and answers where people say they hate white people and the make fun of religion. Well this offends me so why do these questions allowed to remain? Is yahoo questions discrimating against me or what? If I mention the weight epidemic, I am removed, but people can use profanity and they might use ** or whatever but it is clear they are using obscene language. Does anyone else feel that yahoo is nic picking who it descrimating against? This message will probably be removed by yahoo which means they are in violation of my right to voice my opion and ask a legit question. I try to word my questions in the best way possible where many people on here are downright offensive but their questions remain. I have went through and reported many and their questions still remain.

This day is just beginning
Who knows what it may hold.
I shall gather from it blessings,
Eternal wealth untold.
Each second is a diamond,
Each breath a work of art.
And all is mine to share.
And to treasure in my heart.
May I spend it wisely,
Loving all I can
Showing honor to my God,
And love to my fellow man.
This is all I ask Lord
May I this promise uphold.
Let me live this life with love
Until this life is old.
And then when I am done
And I draw my final breath,
I shall have no regrets
When I embrace my earthly death.

Humans are indeed a selfish lot. They want the best for themselves when they are alive. They plunder Earth and cause mayhem to Mother Nature because of over-consumerism and power-grabbing (economic power, political power, military power & even religious-power) resulting in over-pollution, ozone-layer depletion and other man-made disasters like religious wars& terrorism.
After commiting all the above excesses/crimes they want to enjoy perpetual bliss when they are dead! (i.e. "heaven" for the theists).
Humans forget that they are not the only "intelligent" living-things on planet Earth. Do humans ever bother to reason that the animals they "murder" for food or religious sacrifices (viz, cows, pigs, sheep, dogs, deer, whales, dolphins, etc) are actually very intelligent animals? In fact research has shown that many of them are more intelligent than humans!

I allow myself to experience my feelings fully, and then I listen to my inner silence, and then I wait patiently for inspiration or for an impulse. If I am able and willing to act on my inspirational thoughts or impulsive feelings, then I do so. Otherwise, I start again until I find an inspiration or an impulse that you are both able and willing to act on. Then I start the ball rolling in my new directions

The above directions give me access to the wisdom of my soul.

Give me something besides drinking and driving and the usual stuff.
Mine would be-don't try to highlight your hair, or don't paint your bathroom.

Hello, and thanks in advance for praying for me. My assessment scores are low. I have taken Calculus and Biology and English honors at my High School. I will be seeing the counselor this morning to give me the opportunity to sign the drop slip and allow me to take advance courses. Please pray that I can be in these courses so I can peruse my education.

Thank you and God Bless you : )

them in their wallets as reverence ? Aren't these graven images?
Isn't this condemned by the 1st commandment?

Indeed, while they may be saying "free will," they are fanatically following a book purportedly written by "God" that says,

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." (Romans 13:17)

Does this sound even remotely to intelligent people that God gave anybody "free will?"

I put this in the religious category because the focus of the question is about world view. Example might be: Someone named Barbara said a snowflake is complex but was created through random natural forces, and did not require a designer.
