Yes, God created the world and caused it to evolve in such a way that human life would occur. It was not a purely random evolution as that espoused by Darwin, but it was a directed evolution.
You can read more about this in the Urantia Book.

I do, but just don't get technical on me! :) I believe that God created all of the complexity in this world, which includes evolution. Yes, we are similar to other hominids, but evolution is still a theory and there has never been a 'missing link' found that tells us when quadropeds supposedly turned into bipeds, there is still a gap. Simple. Either way, it's not something I worry about because I know God will explain everything someday :)

evolution is just a word, a man-made word to explain and come to a logical explanation about the world and how it works and how we as humans tie into it all.
its like psychology. or mathematics. its the name of a science, and what is a science? its just a study which involves a theory which is then proven by means of hard evidence. there are some sciences which are non-exact. like, psychology. its not like mathematics or chemistry. its based on vast amounts of statistical studies. so, science is the way in which MAN explains the world.
Religion is the way in which GOD explains the world. Since I'm a Christian, I believe that God created the world, but I do not dismiss evolution because it has some factuality to it. It is not exact, the theory of evolution and in some ways it does not tie into the Bible, so i take it with a pinch of salt. I also am an intelligent individual so I know not to read the Bible too literally. I do know that God gave us Wisdom, and science is based on fact and intelligence, which is not the same thing as wisdom.
One can be intelligent to know how a computer functions, but it takes wisdom to know not to sit on Yahoo Answers all day and waste time, because there's a life to be lived out there! *wink*

In a spiritual sense God is the creator He created the earth and the galaxies. Spiritually speaking yes it is possible to believe in evolution of the species if you believe in spirituality and not in the dictates of religious beliefs.

The possibility of God can be speculated as no one can prove or dissaprove him.
But with the advance in Scientific Knowledge we understand that the Universe is too Vast and Complex and many things are beyond are comprehension.
Scientist have discovered Blackholes, Witnessed birth and destruction of stars etc.
So if a God exists we may be too small and insignificant to come in his purview.

I beleive in a mixture of both. I beleive that God created the world, like it says in the bible. But maybe what the bible writers measured "one day" was what we now measure as a million years. How do we know what "his image" was. Maybe his image was evolving and changing, and so did man. Evolution only makes sense logically speaking, but you can incorporate biblical ideas into it, if you try. How do you explain different races and genetic features, if it wasn't for evolution. But I still beleive God created us all, to be different.

Evolution of humans seems to have a few missing links. I do think you can believe in both or just one alone.... if evloution is correct, it must happen in sudden leaps and not slowly and consistently, that might account for the missing links of the human evolutionary theory.

The two questions are unrelated. Why should you limit God? God can't use evolution as a tool if he/she/it chooses? The existence of God doesn't have a thing to do with evolution except in the minds of fundamentalist christians.
