Why are some of you so smug, so closed to the possibility that another faith could be equally as 'right' as your own? And when someone questions your religion why are you are so quick to defend with aggression? Isn't that exactly the way some Muslim Fundamentalists react, prepared to resort so readily to terrorism to defend attacks on their beliefs? So blindly brainwashed into believing that their way is the right one? (This is not an attack on Islam. I am not saying all Muslims are terrorists)

I feel lots of fakeness from some members, and ... it gets to my mind sometimes that our Pastor is not the one who I want to be like ... plus ... the girl I had a crush on, for 1 year and a half is there ... it's hard for me.

Why do women insist on getting diamond necklaces, rings, braclets... when the diamond industry, as corrupt as they are, cuts off the hands of african slaves who don't meet their daily quotas. Now, you tell me which is worse. A man leaving the toilet seat up and spreading a few germs, or a woman who gets her diamond necklace from Tiffanys at the expense of worker's hands being cut off? Think about that.

When most people I see who accept grace use it as a crutch to commit sin (see also social evils) Why do I have to accept that I am personally responsible for the horrible murder of a man to be accepted into heaven?

Is it at all possible to you that the "Truth" you were programed with may be inaccurate? Do you acknowledge at all that some other worldview may be more compatible with reality? Or are you already set in your ways like an old person who continues to be racist despite all our advancements in civil rights?

I have a question here. With the onset of an atheist society that feels no connection with our Lord and His sweet commandments of faithfulness after marriage and abstinance before marriage...the sexually transmitted diseases are rampant...if one is a vampire this is quite hazardous and time consuming. Do you realize the time a vampire has to spend now finding someone who doesnt have aids? Just picture it for those poor guys and girls now....they have to ask their victims, " excuse me ? are you monogamous ? "... Do you realize the risk factor now for them ? I mean the poor " suckers " are proly in a panic and on prozac just from the fear and risk factor alone. Do you think a vampire questionaire would make it safer for them ? I think reparations are due to all vampires from the atheist community for the risk and damages they've caused to vampires by rejecting the commandments mentioned. . Anyone agree or disagree ?

Tell me your kidding.

Are we too primitive? So primitive we do -not- punish the children of offenders, and their children and their children, endless generations punished for the deeds of one person.

Imagine running our justice system this way:
"well, 500 years ago your ancestor committed a crime, so we're going to lock you up, and your kids too, and their kids..."

How do you manage to believe in this stuff?

My sister went to a catholic convent school from the age of 11 to 18, run by nuns, where prayers and strictness were militarily enforced ... she became alcoholic but has since refound love
i too had a difficult time through school and turned to vices, but still have love
if somebody drinks a lot of alcohol and gambles...but still has much love and gives to the homeless, cares for the sick and helps the needy might they still go to heaven?

Ok, I know you don't believe he was the son of God or anything, but over all do you think he was a pretty cool person? I'm a christian and have an atheist friend that thinks that Jesus is someone to look up to, not because he was the son of God or anything like that...but from his teaching and morals. I was just wondering if any other atheists thought along these lines. Thanks!

PROTESTERS calling for an end to recent violence in Sri Lanka found themselves brawling with hardline Buddhist monks today, after a rally dubbed a ?peace protest? turned unexpectedly violent.

Organisers said there were around 1000 people in a park in the capital, Colombo, listening to a range of speakers when hardline saffron-robed monks opposed to concessions to Tamil Tiger rebels mounted the stage and erected banners.

Some more moderate Buddhist monks, protesting for peace, were already on the stage when punches were thrown. Soon, monks' robes and fists were flying, although no one was badly hurt, witnesses said.

“They were saying we should go to war,” said pro-peace monk Madampawe Assagee.

“We like to listen to other opinions so we let them do that, but then they started fighting and we couldn't control some of our people. They tried to make it a big fight but we settled it in a few minutes.”

Everyone who works knows of a suck-up co-worker, the brown-noser: the one who honeys up to the boss in efforts at career advancement. Now, you 'little' people can have a shot at exposing suck-ups: Who are they, where they work at--and what do they do to brown-nose around the boss? Here's your chance to 'anonymously' recognize the employee who makes your job hazardous and makes you sick watching them in action.
