Sometimes I suck in a little extra air when something is hot. Or I'll suck a noodle when eating Lo Mien, chili spaghetti or Alfredo. Other than that there maybe a taste thing there. My wife likes to smack her lips when she eats because she says it tastes better with the extra airflow. Whatever, I guess???
In some cultures it's proper, but in America it's not so OK on your first few dates. It can be OK later in private, but never in public.

I've never seen anyone besides my 2 year old do that. Maybe you need to hang with an older crowd.
Maybe they don't have any teeth???

yes i agree. they eat like animals.
and the ugly teeth choping sounds too.
Possibly they like to enjoy their food? or coz of their teeth structure or they are just a bunch of inconsiderate person who do not know how they are spoilling other people's meal times!!!
