What if they have a family member that has a terminal illness and they try their hardest to find ways to prolong their lives. Would that be going against God's will? Let's say that they feel that God's will was to find something to prolong their family members life, ok that justifies that, but how would someone know God's will? Now the person dies and God says you went against my will and kept him/her alive, enjoy hell, or figuring the person didn't do anything to prolong the family members life, God then tells him, you didn't help him/her and my will was that you help them, enjoy hell..... I say, live life free of religion, and you will live free of contradictions and hypcrasy.

I am surprised to find that I have some religious outrage forming about our evil government destroying the values we hold sacred. Doonsbury depicts the prez as a Roman helmet. The citizens of Rome considered their city and empire as their deity. I guess I have some holy feelings about America that way. Why is it, though, that I, an atheist, have my modest trend toward sacredness about the one thing religious fundamentalists would prefer to let wither and die? Irony is here for our entertainment!!!

why do we need any guidance as to what is good and evil? Why are we still arguing about it? Shouldn't we all be imbued naturally with that knowledge? Just wondering.

If a Mormon truly believes what he/she is doing is right, won't God see the sincere love they have for Him and let them into heaven? The Jehovah's witnesses suffer alot from society to do what they think God wants them to do. Do you think God is so small and petty to look these good people, who love Him so sincerely and serve Him in what they think to be right , in the eye and say "you can't come in, you didn't follow the rules"? Is it really so complicated? Or do you think God looks to our hearts, sees the sincerity and understands how one loves Him is all that matters.

"when the baw breaks the cradle will fall" mhh gravity maybe. "down comes baby, cradle and all" have you ever seen people fall, specially when something heavy falls on them, i would figure the baby got killed, now is that what you want your kids to hear before they go to sleep.

In July I was at the biggent anime convention in the US and every year there is a Christians convention in the same convention center. The Anime con out numbers them like 500 to 1.
Anyway, my friend and I were at Starbucks in the hotel across the street when we hear these two women talking about extracting the devil from all of us. And one of them laughed about how she broke this kids constume. It was shocking. My friend and I kept listening to their proposterous converstaion. about how all these 30,000 freaks are all going to hell. Then one of them was talking about she spent $300,000 on something and the other said, "yes, but thats not getting you into heaven."
So heres my question. How on Earth could they possibly judge us? If they took a second to stop and ask what was going on around them instead of jumping to these ridiculous conclusions. And they consider themselves good Christians?? Breaking someones costume, they probably spent alot of time and money on.

I abhor my ignorance (and will flog myself for it promply) about this. How much of us really are educated in the origins of Judaism, Islam and Christianity? How much of this ignorance is to blame for warring nations?

I do so love when a question comes from and answer.... In my last question (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkxAYyb157h9314vi.9_UBfsy6IX?qid=20060814073943AAC0TYG) ChooseReality gave the following answer. "The non-biblical answer is that people originated in Africa. From there they spread out across the globe in separate tribes. These tribes developed cultures of their own and at first were nomadic peoples. They moved following their food sources and weather patterns. Eventually many of these people began to settle in areas and became agricultural tribes. Over time races developed as people adapted to their new environments, and languages were developed independently of other far off tribes. A sociologist would be able to answer this far better than i have, but this should be a start."

With that said, was the first nationality one of color? And, if mandkind orginated in Africa then does this prove the theory that we are all decendants of people of color?

Is the reason you want Intelligent Design taught in public school is that you believe there should be an altertative to Evolution taught to the students? Since Evolution is a Theory and not been proven as a fact?

In the interest of fairness to the students, would you also be in favor of alternative theories of the origin of the species.

I propose the teaching of something called Unintelligent Design. This is to suggest that there was a creator, but that the creator is not an intelligent one.

I do not mean this to be offensive to those of you who are in favor of intelligent design. I think it totally makes sense to teach children an altertative to Evolution. I think it just makes sense to teach them the other alternatives, since Intelligent Design has not been proven to be a fact.

So that is the question before you today in this question:

Is it ok if in public high school we teach the Theory of Unintelligent Design?

Again, I mean no offense at all. Serious question
