Why is there a complete 180 degree difference in punishments in the old testment vs the new testment. Is it because the people who made up the religion realized that if they kill all there members they wont be able to collect tithe? If not why were the laws implementated from the begining I mean god created man, he knows all he knew that ****** eve was gonna eat that forbidden fruit, and if the devil was an angel that gad got mad, why didnt he forgive the new appointed devil, and why did he even create the angel that he turned in to the devil to begin with, man I could go on and on.

Multi millionaires such as Bono who are always harping on about world poverty seem better placed to do something finacially to help the third world than the average man on the street. Even if they only gave a small percentage of their earnings and put this into a trust fund of some description it would make a dramatic difference. This would not be setting a precedent as the Grateful Dead have long had a foundation set up, financed by their own money, to administrate money to deserving causes. If all the mega rich rock stars set up similar charitable foundations, giving something in the order of 20% of their earnings over, then maybe we'd see an end to world poverty. After all such a paultry ammount would hardly leave them skint would it?

I'm reading genesis 3 and i came across:

24 So he drove out the man; and he placed Cherubs at the east of the garden of Eden, and the flame of a sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

My question is since the Garden of Eden is speculated to be on Earth has anyone seen the tree of life.. ? Souldn't be hard to find.

The tree of life couldn't be in heaven coz god was protecting the tree of life why do that when no human is around?

are you an offender? or are you offended? a good way to "win" is to stop dead so that the other person has no choice but to walk around you!

for all god`s affairs, all he does, is he sais BE and it is.( from the holy quran)
that simple he forgive the sin of those he want, and they are people who submit to god`s will, and repent of their sins, and they dont follow their desires instead of what god said.
ofcourse they will not become perfect humans and without any error and comepletely sinless.
but god KNOWS those people who sincerely come to him and TRY to be righteous as much as they can, and those who submit to his will instead their desires.he is all knowing.
( one of the meanings of islam is submission to one god)

I don't understand why they only get a few years in prison. To me rape is rape. If it's stranger rape, then you're more likely to be sent to prison for a longer period of time. But if it's by someone you know, chances are they are not going away for long. I think the minimum should be at least 30 years and I think the death penalty should be a possibility.

"I think its also a question of wanting thier cake and e ating it. I mean in their home country they are tortured and beaten, have nothing to call thier own and are given nothing. I saw on TV last night they say justice is a luxury over thier, but here it is a right.

Sadly though when they do come to England, they get everything handed on a plate, and much wants more. Instead of appreciation and working together to help it good for everyone, they simply demand more and more and use the 'minority and racial' excuse as nothing more than blackmail to get thier own way.

And when I say 'they' I dont mean all!! I think it was best put by a reporter on TV that said its quite clear that the terrorists are more often than not found dressing in traditional dress, covered up faces for the women or men with the long fuzzy beard and evil stare!! ...... doesnt matter where you come from you can always pick out the evil ones just by their look.

The eyes are the window to the soul"

Wouldn't it be more commendable to live for somthing rather than die for it?? Once your dead thats all you can do. If Jesus had lived he could have taught us a lot more and kept his church from being peverted into what it is today. I know that some will take offence to this. I do not mean it that way. If you truly believe in somthing wouldn't it make more sense to live for it?? If one group lives for something and another wants to die for somthing who will win??

This is for those opponents of evolution who always like to point out that evolution is just a "theory". I always chuckle then try to explain to them why, but to no avail. So I present this easy post to clear it up.

Scientific Definition of a Law

"An empirical generalization; a statement of a biological principle that appears to be without exception at the time it is made, and has become consolidated by repeated successful testing; rule "

Definition of a Theory

"A scientifically accepted general principle supported by a substantial body of evidence offered to provide an explanation of observed facts and as a basis for future discussion or investigation "

Too complicated for you still? Let me make it even easier.

Scientific Law- Describes what nature does under certain conditions

Scientific Theory- Explains how nature works

A law is neither "better than" nor "above" a theory. Laws and theories "do" different things and have different roles to play in science

if god asked you to kill someone would you do it, also keep in mind that we have call waiting now(not like in abrahams day) so if he call you and asks you to off someone and then switches over to take the other call wait until he comes back he may change his mind then you would have killed someone for no reason.

We have found an abundance of transitional fossils. What this sort of questioning is implying is that we find every transitional fossil. I will gladly admit such a thing is impossible. It would be like digging up everyone of your ancestors to prove you are a descendent of a Frenchmen. I will give two examples of missing links. One is homo ergaster found to have lived 1.9 million years ago. Fossils and information can be seen here (http://www.mnh.si.edu/anthro/humanorigins/ha/erg.html ). Another missing link is referred to as the Darwin Fish. Simply put this fossil shows the link between fish and tetrapods. The New York Times had an article about it found here (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/06/science/06fossil.html?ex=1301976000&en=76a1b46221b5cc6a&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss&pagewanted=all ).

Just another thing that needed to be cleared up.
