If you are a Christian, you know things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. We have been warned by the Prophets of old that this day would come. I do believe however that there is good in this world, and our Heavenly Father accomplishes many miracles and random acts of kindless through us His Children. He could put everything in order at the drop of a hat. Will he? Probably not, but we can receive all the help and comfort we need through Him and His Son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I've read several really sad answers to your question. It's VERY sad to have NO hope for the future. I'm happy to report that I am not among those who are 'hopeless'. My faith is in God, the God of the Bible and His Son Jesus Christ. My hope is in the future that the Bible says is in store for me.
Yes, a day will come when Jesus will return to this earth to rule and reign for 1000 years. During that time ALL wars will cease and there will be peace, healing, and restoration for people and for the earth.
For those who DON'T believe I can only say this to you:
I would rather live my life as if Jesus was telling the truth, then die and find out that He wasn’t, than to live my life as if he wasn’t telling the truth, then die and find out that He was.

The concept of a World Saviour is a common idea in many religions. Within Christianity Jesus is awaited in a Second coming, Jews still wait and so do the Muslims (mahdi). But, no I think it's very unlikely someone will come and save us all, put everything in its right place, end war and famine on Earth.
But still it is a beautiful concept...even if very unrealistic.

No. No one is powerful enough or charismatic enough to achieve a world peace...even a temporary one. Reality kinda sucks that way. No mythic hero is coming to help or hurt anyone. We're on our own. As it should be.

God is going to send the devil down in bodily form to impersonate Jesus and punish the earth. Then the real Jesus will show up and the blood will flow.
So, yes.

To some this would be Jesus Christ, to others it would be the anti-christ depending on your definition of order.
