Why is there a complete 180 degree difference in punishments in the old testment vs the new testment. Is it because the people who made up the religion realized that if they kill all there members they wont be able to collect tithe? If not why were the laws implementated from the begining I mean god created man, he knows all he knew that ****** eve was gonna eat that forbidden fruit, and if the devil was an angel that gad got mad, why didnt he forgive the new appointed devil, and why did he even create the angel that he turned in to the devil to begin with, man I could go on and on.

Genesis is just a folklore. A make believe story. How could anyone tell how God created our universe, The earth has existed for billions of years. And we humans only begin to exist by merely 2 million years! Evidence of religion, recorded events, and art are dated 30,000 to 40,000 years ago only. Evidence indicates that most of the documents of the dead sea scrolls( That include the story of genesis)were written at various dates between approximately 200 bc and ad 68 ad. So how can any humans know the story of the world?

First of all, Christians believe that when Jesus died on the cross, he died for all of our sins. It completely changed our religion, yes, because Jesus took the fall. He didn't just die-he died with the guilt and burdon of every sin that ever was and every sin that ever will be, because God is timeless. That is why there seemed to be more severe punishment in the Old Testement, because they didn't know about Jesus and they knew only what God commanded them. Also, God has two sides. He wants us to fear him, because he deserves our respect. We would be nothing if he didn't create us. Jesus came to show God's other side-his great, forgiving love.
The answer to the rest of your question is Free Will. Although God did know what would happen, he did it anyway because he wanted to give people the choice to love him. He didn't want to be alone-he wanted to share his love with his creation, just like a parent. And then he gave us the right to choose, so that when we actually love him, it is real love.
Even if a surgeon didn't think there was any hope to save a person in a terrible car accident, he would still try, wouldn't he?

Difference? There is no difference!
All the laws of Moses are still to this day in effect.
Christ came not to destroy the Law but to fulfill the law. He did not change one iota of the law.
Iota= a symbol over a letter to change the sound of the letter.
The reason you could go on and on is because you have now understanding!- sorry

I think it's important to point out that:
1. the bible was written by many different authors and translated many times into many different languages.
2. Many of the stories in the bible (especially the old testament) are parables or allegories meant to teach lessons.
3. the new testament deals with Christ, forgiveness and his dying for our sins. That may lesson our punishments a bit.

The difference is that Christ died on the cross to pay for all sin. He said I did not come to change the law but to fullfill and that is why things were a little different. He had fullfilled the law by paying the price for all sin It is not 180 degree.

Just what the devil wants. Someone else who is confused about there being a God. Maybe if you asked God himself through prayer and studying the Bible these questions wouldnt be so tough to answer. What is it going to hurt following the rules of the Bible. You might be a nice person? But ask yourself what if your wrong. Not judging anyone I still have work to do myself but maybe I made you think with this.

God, in his perfect wisdom, gave us free will - or the ability to make choices. We are responsible for them and their consequences.
He did not want people to be like robots - there would be no authenticity.
Don't blame God - blame me and you and all humanity who makes choices that separate us from a perfect God. He is consistent, we mess up.

one important thing. jesus died for our sins so our sins are now forgiven instead of being punishable by old testament rules. the devil was created as a being who could test us so god can see which of us are his followers
