if god asked you to kill someone would you do it, also keep in mind that we have call waiting now(not like in abrahams day) so if he call you and asks you to off someone and then switches over to take the other call wait until he comes back he may change his mind then you would have killed someone for no reason.

Yes I know, people have said they killed their kids because god told them. But what I find hard is the most christians have a hard time believing that god would tell someone to do such a bad thing.

in the old testament the punishment for nearly everthing was death so stop with all the god is a loving god, if we went by the old testament we would all be dead, problem with that is the church wouldnt survive.

If the government told you to kill someone would you do it? Thousands are doing it right now. But I would not.

I would obey God. But the standing order is "thou shalt not kill."

I expect those orders will be changed ...

"And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed." Revelation 11

If someone called you on the phone and said they were god and told you to kill someone not a person on this earth would believe it was actually god, not even the pope, unless they had some kind of mental illness. Consequently the mental illness probably caused the fabricated call in the first place.

If god talked to me in my head and told me to kill someone I'd go to a doctor. If "god" talked to me at all I'd probably see a doctor.

Obviously, some people will:

"Houston's FBI office has placed the fugitive daughter of a deceased Utah polygamist on the agency's "most wanted" list after getting a tip about the woman from a relative in prison."

"The elder LeBaron ordered the executions of rival polygamists in the 1970s, investigators have said. In 1972 he was convicted in Utah of ordering family members to kill his brother, who was said to have disobeyed church laws."

Your intent may have been humor, but there are lots of people who murder other people on the orders of God. Two women in Texas recenty (last year) murdered their kids after God told them to do so. Or, so they claimed.

Most Christians appear to be in deep denial about their history & activities of people within their own communities. A preacher in Tennessee (???) was recently murdered by his wife and thumpers immediately began claiming she wasn't a "real Christian," or made other excuses for her behavior.

Id have my meds adjusted stat.. God as Christians portray might.. what I've studied would never...I'm not christian, I do now believe what they do.. but I understand the philosophy behind it... it is in a nut shell.. shepherding.. you either do good or you do evil.. there is no gray area.. the gray area is the land of the living dead and you are as good as all dead

In all the Holy Books the loving God forbids man to kill.
If any man says the reverse, we see right away that he is false believer or false god.

Muslims do it all the time. Religion of peace right? All the crazies that say god directed them to do it, craziness. Religion is a tool to control the masses, wake up!

All these christians saying that their god would not do that apparently never read the bible.

God was constantly telling people to kill eachother in the OT.

Yeah, religion can be violent.
Rememer, there has never been an atheist who went on a cross-country killing spree because he didn't hear god not call to tell him to.

The commandment says "Thou shall not kill". If the command is to kill someone, it is definitely not from God.
