I believe that no one has the right to tell people how they should practice their beliefs. However certain people are trying to change the Bylaws pertaining to the rules and regulations and this topic has come up. I think its ridiculous.

At first, that's why we went in or at least that's what trustworthy people like Cheney and Rumsfeld said. And Hans Blix has the nerve to call them 'bastards.'

I was introduced to spirituality at a young age by my mother. We would attend church on Sundays and sometimes Wednesday. We attended The Church of God In Christ. A synopsis of thier beliefs can be found here. http://www.cogic.org/believe.htm

I left my mothers home at age 12 and went to stay with my Father. I would spend a lot of time with my Grandmother whho is Jehovahs Whitness. Click here to see thier beliefs http://www.watchtower.org/beliefs_and_activities.htm

I, also in my younger years went to Catolic Church, Budist Temple and Spirtual Enlightenment courses.

Needless to say with such a varied Bible teaching and religous backgound I now do not attend Church or Kingdom Hall, but I do have strong religious beliefs. Is this so wrong? Why am I shuned by other Christians? Can't I just have my faith and belief and that be enough to get me into "Heaven" or "Pardise" And if no, why not.

PROVE to me that his noodly goodness doesn't exist. Go on I DARE you!
After all, millions believe in him.
There have been countless sightings.
There is a book written about him and he is mentioned in this book.
He is mysterious and does not allow himself to be measured or tested by mere earthly scientific equipment.
His story of creation is irrefutable.
He promises the BEST heaven for his followers after death. WE get a Beer Volcano and a Stripper Factory. Can you beat that?
So, the challenge is issued, prove he doesn't exist or be referred to as a "heathen" for the rest of your worthless lives.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, get educated here;

It will save your life!

I saw a question about this. I've grown up in the "Mormon" church, and I love it. I'm confused as to how a person get offended over baptisms for the dead? If it's false as you believe, it can't affect them in any way. And if it's true, wouldn't you want them to have a second chance?

I'm looking for sincere answers. Hopefully I'll get some.

After reading some questions and answers, I got the idea some people think "Happy Holidays" is supposed to REPLACE talking about Christmas. However, the reason people feel one should say "Happy Holidays" is to incorporate all religions and celebrations of the same season into one greeting so as not to be saying Christmas when someone is actually celebrating Kwanza, not to try to take religion out of holidays or something. There's more going on than just Christmas, plus it covers New Years which most people celebrate in addition to a religious holiday (or secular Christmas). Understanding that, does it still bother you that "Happy Holidays" is more widely promoted?

[As for Christmas Trees vs. Holiday Trees, is the decorated tree a major symbol for any religion other than Christian and secular Christmas? If not, there's no need for the switch to "Holiday Trees". I'm just not aware of any other use of the symbol (and know it started with pagans), so let me know if I'm wrong here.]

not to offend anyone but who would agree with me when I say that our worldwide renowned religion of christianity was established and continues to establish itself by murder, war and violence? A perfect example of that is when the europeans settled in North America and forced their religion and own beliefs upon the indigenous people of North America and as well as the rest of the world. Other people in their own native lands had no use for christianity since they had already been practicing their own spiritual or religions beliefs for many many years. As history tells it anyone who wasn't a christian or did not become a christian was persucuted, punished or looked upon as a inferior product of the generations current civilization. So wouldn't it be safe to say that ALONG WITH THE CROSS THAT WAS GIVEN TO PEOPLE THE BLODDY SWORD WAS ALSO GIVEN? With that in mind wouldn't you say that the establishment of this christianity heavily contradicts itlelf?

I live in a really small town. I want to know if anyone has experienced or wants to experience small town life. What its like and what you think its like. Your population and location would be nice also but not necessary. Me...small town, about 2500, Huntsville AR. I love the calmness and polite people that still exist.

Just to proove neither of us are ignorant of each other's beliefs, this is what I know thus far:

According to creationism, God created the world 6000 years and also gave birth to Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve's children later had families together and jump-started the human population. Inbreeding was not a problem back then because humans were more pure. As generations went by we got sicker, smaller, and less pure so inbreeding eventually became hazardous. Dinosaurs lived with humans as well, and we have proof of this because there are expertly-crafted cave paintings depicting various dinosaurs. Now up until then, the entire human race had the same ethnicities, but in an attempt to reach Heaven, the Tower of Babel was created. God was angry so He created diversity amongst people to prevent the Tower from being finished. That is why we have so many ethnicities and different languages. Adam and Eve died after living for a thousand years, and the human race has gone downhill since.

Biblical "prophesy" is weak sauce. It's vague and has no timeline. I often hear people try to "prove" the Bible by it's prophesy, and I think it's ridiculous. If you are gullible enough to have faith because of half-a** predictions, why don't you believe Miss Chleo? At least she can tell you specifically that "someone you know will make you think twice, soon" and narrow it down to at least the 80 or so years you are alive?
