Sadly, too many Christians (myself included) don't have enough knowledge to give an educated answer to your question. Unlike so many of the others, I am not about to generalize or speculate about a religion I know nothing about. This is probably the strongest answer you'll get, but good luck with the attempt.

Actually, Paganism would not be older than Christianity. You see a Christian believes in Jesus Christ, the Word of God. As the evangelist John writes in his prologue, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." What this means is Christ, in all eternity existed before the world or you and I came to be. And since we worship a God who existed even before Paganism, then Christianity is really the older faith.
And as far as validity, well let's look at it this way; which one is clearer in its expression. In Paganism there are many and varied systems of belief and dieties to match. And some god(s) that cannot even be described or known. For example, in pagan cults that worship nature, can they explain nature (as a whole)? What does it look like as a whole? What is it asking for in response? Can you answer these questions with your belief system?
At least with Christianity there is the person of Jesus the Christ who has been in continuous dialogue and guidance since His Incarnation. And so, we have a clearer notion of what is expected from us because of a realtionship with a real person. We are not confused because we do not have a realtionship with an ambigous reality like nature.
I hope this has been helpful. May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

No religion should be more valid than anyone Else's. There are 6 billion people on the earth and the overwhelming majority of them are NOT Christians.

Some of the questions are interesting, indeed they are, but too many of the answers aren't any answers at all. If you want to prove something you can't just use the Bible and it's texts to prove something. You must come up with some more serious arguments than that. The Bible was not from God, it is made by man and I am confused to read all answers from not thinking persons, some acts like parrots.

Paganism is old,
What were the Christians before Jesus?
Pagans.
We have something in common! Most likely nobody is going to give you a divine sentence here to make you a Christian, and I am not going to preach to you!
You have free will, we all do. I choose Jesus and the Catholic Church.

No religion is more valid than any other. They're all different ways to understand something greater about the universe. Christianity has just always been the most forceful. ("believe in this or we'll kill everyone in your country") ("raise your kids to believe this too or they'll suffer forever").....Just because you have more than one thing to worship doesn't make you so wrong. And just because they're such self-righteous narcissistic pricks doesn't make them less right either.

Have you seen or read the da Vinci code?
Well in the early 18th centuary the Catholics sat in a round table and said......*hmmmmmmmmm i dont like THIS part of the bible, ill just take it out and replace it with what i see fit*...... So, religion is just a titol. Arent we supposed to be good and faithfull to the Lord and do all we can for him? NOT by killing and terrorising other religions just because they dont beleive in what you beleive in!

why are you using Windows, not DOS? isnt it older and came earlier into existence?
yes, you do have a very weak logic. just because somethins is older, doesnt mean that is the best. I am not a Christian myself but i thought your logic wasnt any good. why dont you rather try to prove why your religion is more valid than christianity?

the bible contains over 8000 prophecies, 27% of the bible is prophetic, Jesus Christ fullfilled over 360 old testament prophecies alone!!!
The bible took 1500 years to completer, over 40 authors from differnet backgrounds, 3 languages, 3 continents, 72 books, yet the bible flows so smoothly w/ ONE central theme/message of salvation through the messiah (jesus christ). How do you explain all these writers to write so collectively unless they were inspired by one author---God???
