Faith is mostly based upon personal life experiences and one's personal relationship with God... How could something "refute" that?

Absolutely. I was raised Christian, but became agnostic as an adult. Continued to be agnostic 30 plus years until finding Judaism -- a religion of action! Suddenly the Torah ("Old Testament") makes sense! There is no limit to God's forgiveness in Judaism -- ask and ye shall receive! Anyone -- any time -- anywhere!

Shalom

Yes I have. it made me look at my beliefs more carefully then change them. I grew up christian both protestant and catholic (for the fundies that want to say catholics arent true christian or whatever) and for the ones that say you were never a true christian thats just plain rude. anyhow I had many nasty experiences with christians and id rather keep to myself these days. except on Yahoo answers where i usually vent or pick on fundies. Im Pagan now and I generally like to stay in the house (i have four animals who could blame me?) Too hot in Texas and the people arent very friendly.

I have experienced people and their viewpoints, different religions, and really it hasn't made me change the fact that I believe in christ, but it has made me question certain aspects of how God really is to people who may not be a Christian. My sister in law is a buddhist, my husband is a philosopher and I'm a catholic. Pretty much seeing that caused me to grow up and mature my faith and realize that it isn't my place to judge who will go to a good afterlife. God only knows and I'm very okay with that. As far as things in science and nature....those things just make me believe more in God.

Refute? No. Question? Definitely. At the moment I am a Christian, but seriously reconsidering my faith. Events have taken place recently that make me realize that Christianity is not as loving as people make it out to be. The Bible contradicts itself. That's refute enough for me.

I believe that God is a healer. My pastor taught that God is a healer and that we should have faith. About two years ago, my pastor died of cancer at the age of 52. It tested my faith greatly, but it didn't change my beliefs. I still believe there is healing in the name of Jesus.

Yes -- as a child I took Genesis litereally. Then I discovered that it was meant as allegory and that we evolved fromapes.
