I am Christian, but I slept in. About a year ago the denomination I went to fired the Pastor. I have tried that church again and didn't like it. And I've tried 3 other churches since then, and they weren't for me.
So lately I've been sleeping in, but reading my Bible and praying on my own. Today I slept until 11:30. I do want to find a new church, but sometimes its just nice to get the extra rest.

Supposedly there are no stupid questions just stupid answers but yikes! Are these kids, necks, holier than thou's just bored? Is it just the sad state of the U.S. that we can't talk to each other but we can ask these things anonomously? Is it competition for worthless points? I understand that this question itself is being hypocritical but someimes you have to lie down with dogs to get up with fleas.

I am curious to find out why the Irish continue to use English when they have their native language of Gaelic? Other formerly colonized countries or oppressed regions like Korea or the Basque Country successfully preserved their languages which now flourish but why not the Irish? I know they have areas where Gaelic is still used called "Gaeltacht" but why can't the entire country become a "Gaeltacht"?

I am a fellow believer and I am just wanting to know if anyone has been able to accomplish this because sometimes I find myself not being able to acomplish this daily. Just wanting to do this, will not get the Lords work done but as I have been on here I have found that this website is a great instrument to witness to people about GOD.

I have a lady that comes to my house about three times a week looking for me. I've talked to her twice and told her I was busy and the last time I spoke to her she walked away saying,"I'm gonna get you". She even has told me she drives by my house at 11p.m. to see if I am home. Its crazy and i'm tired of turning down my t.v. Should I just tell her I'm gay so leave me alone? She just don't get it.

He destroys his own creation rather than teach (Sodom and Gomorra). Even kills a woman running away from Sodom and Gomorra for being neurotic. He doesn't stress how important something is and then banishes you for not knowing (Adam and Eve). Asks a father to kill his own son for no good reason (Abraham). Drowns the world of non-believers out of his infinite compassion (Noah’s Ark).

All the Bible really says is if you keep your head down and do as you’re told, you’ll be rewarded in the end for being such a good sheep. It teaches us to be a possession of God, a pawn, instead of tolerance and understanding. How about reading Steinbeck or Hemingway? I mean why would you even want to go to Heaven if you had to worship this bloodlust God? Life was hard back then when the Bible was being written so of course people imagined God was all these things, but now in this day an age, it corrupts people's potential to learn more, willingness to read books and watch tearjerker movies, etc...
