I study and pray, but as with alot of things, sometimes we won't feel spiritual and other times we are just on fire for God. When you feel weary just do what i call drive-by prayers. As you go about your day-stop and say thank you Lord or at lunch say-i love you Lord or on your way home say- i'm blessed and highly favored. through out the day just thank and remember God. And also just meditate on a verse, before you know it you have prayed, worshiped and praised. I hope this helps:)

I pray daily but I do not necessarily read the Bible daily. The Lord says to hide the Word in your heart. When you need it, it will be there. Jesus told the disciples not to take a script but let the Holy Spirit do the talking. So to speak. I love the New Testament, that, I have read a lot. Especially the Words of Jesus is uplifting for my life. A verse a day to be pondered and prayed about is a great deal.

This is certainly *NOT* a great instrument for witnessing about God. Instead, Christ Jesus commanded that true Christians must go from house-to-house with the Good News:
Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?
(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

You are right , just sift the chaff from the wheat, I have always loved searching Gods Word , I have spent years and many hours a day for long periods of time, but I did it because I hungered for it, not because it was expected of me. Keep Studying and Witnessing you never know who you might touch. God Bless.

You might find my page on prayer interesting... and I would welcome you comments... There are amany,,, far too many... times I find myself having difficulty praying... I too believe there is aan oportunity to witness here... but unfortunatly the presence of evil is also strong... it dose take the strength of prayer to remain here for very long...
