Yes and sometimes very isolated, sometimes I feel like the only person in the world because of isolation, but then a smile or an hello from someone makes you realise your not alone anymore.

Yes. Since I was 15 or 16. I talked about it with friends and counselors. I found it to be normal, as all of us feel this way at one time or another. I feel like that yet, at different times during the week.
Most of the time I like to be among people, but do not wish to interact with them. I've found that being an observer keeps me more "insulated" than "isolated" from being sucked into discussions I'd really rather avoid. I prefer to stick with small talk.

Yes, I'm going through that right now. My divorce will be final in about 12 more days and I'm also trying to adjust to a new job. I've pretty much withdrawn from everyone so I can try to cope. Of course everyone trys to encourage me, but sometimes you just don't want to hear all that stuff, and deal with your feelings the best way you can, without interference.

Of course, it is quite normal to occasionally just feel as though you cannot interact with anyone around you. It is obviously that much more frustrating when its your family and friends, and you feel that they should be the ones to understand you most!

Try articulating your feelings more clearly to them, then they will be able to understand what is going through your head more easily!

yes i think every one does.the thing is you have family and friends but sometimes you just feel alone because you are thinking about things that they cant give you the answers to.
then when you want help or advice and you dont get it you feel let down then you feel alone because you feel the family and friends dont care.
