Seeking god?

Question

I am just seeking God in my life, I have been a long time athiest and I am ready to find God. If you could please help me find a way to bring God into my life the right way. It's hard to go from not believing to believing over night. I just want it to happen with a whole heart. Not ready to attend church need another alternative.

I don't need anyone to judge me just some guidance to bring God into my life, the most sincere way. Thank you

Or if you'd prefer something of an Earthbased belief system, I would recommend Witchvox.com where there are articles written by all different sorts of people, and you can see for yourself if this would be something you would want to pursue. Another good website is Beliefnet.com, where you can see all different faith's tenets, inspiration, and so forth. I am happy to see this change in you, from one former atheist to another. When you invite God,dess into your life, no matter how you go about it, S,he will work inside you and you'll see that you are heard, and loved. But sometimes the situations and circumstances you are in have to change before you can realize your full potential. We are all part of our Divine Creator, and when a person decides there is nonesuch, the Divine cannot reach you. You will see in time how you turned away first; sometimes it is in childhood, mine in adolescence for reasons I won't list here, and some adults blame their lives and luck on God, where this isn't the right place for the blame. Everything that happens to you, whether good or bad, is meant to teach you something; not a punishment, and the good isn't exactly reward, either. Because the material things we consider 'good' don't exist where we come from. So the real reward for doing good things lies in the karma of the individual upon it's next reincarnation.

I am so happy you are seeking God. All you need to do is get on your knees and ask God to forgive you of all your sins...the ones you can think of and the ones you may have forgotten you comitted. Then ask Him to come into your heart and cleanse you with His precious blood. That is it. Then you need to get a bible and begin to study God's word. Find a Bible believeing church when you are ready and pray everyday. Don't think you have to do everything perfect....God knows we aren't perfect, He just wants us to do the best we can to seek his presence and to serve him daily. One thing I one to point out is now that you have made a choice to serve God, the devil is going to try and put obstacles in your way. He doesn't want you to answer God's call on your life and he has seen all the beautiful plans God has for you and will do all he can to mess up your walk with Christ. That is why it is important to read your bible daily and stay in prayer. satan may have some power, but remember God is all powerful and he will protect and keep you. God knows your heart and all the angels in Heaven are rejoicing right now because you have become a child of God. You are about to start the most beautiful and important journey there is. Don't get all upset and down on yourself if sometimes you fall and stumble in your walk with Christ. Remember , God is still perfecting you and it's ok to mess up as long as you don't allow satan to keep you down. Just pray and ask God to forgive you and keep going. well, it might be a big step to you, but i advise you to search within yourself only. Do you sometimes recall your dreams at night?you can see the world, people, and even things which are not real. You can feel, touch, laugh, even in a dream.
That means you have the world within you, everything is there. If all started in 1 point, then everything in existence has the essence of the whole. That includes you.
By being in touch with your inner self, with everything you have inside of you, you will be closer to what you are looking for in the question.
if God is everything, then it's inside of your heart and your true self also.
Practice some meditation, and you will see.Clear you mind of doubts, fears, and uncertainty, and you will find your place in life.
But if you are simply search for a reference for life and a faith lifestyle, then this isn't the answer you are looking for, and we're speaking of different Gods.

I am really glad that I get this chance to tell you this answer.... When you want to know God as your personal Savior you need to pray and tell him this, but you have to believe it in your whole heart when you pray this. You have to believe that you are a sinner and that you want to lay those sins at the foot of the cross. Then you have to know that Jesus is God's son and that Jesus did die for your sins and my sins.With admitting that you have to know tha Jesus came to this earth just so that he could die for us and that he lived a perfect life. Then you need to committ your life to him and give your life up to him. Then to end this prayer thank him for all that he did and has done and always will do for you. Then once you have prayed to ask for the Holy Spirit into your heart( which is what Jesus left for us when Jesus let to go sit at the side of his father, our God. He left us this Holy Spirit so that we could all have Jesus living in our hearts!) you start to live fully for him. You have to let him mann your life, he is the boss, One of my favorite verses is Isaiah 64:8 says," Yet oh Lord, You are the potter and we are the clay. We are the works of your hands." I have been studying comparative religion many years .. I find that 'Patanjali's Yoga Sutras-with Vyasu's Commentaries' is a very clean text delineating a way to seek your own answers .. Technically it is considered Manas(mind) yoga .. It dates to 7th century and was Shankaryacharya school .. As a first translated text to Occidental culture of Sanskrit .. it inspired Emanuel Kant to write 'Critique of Reason' ... You may find some of the varied Bhuddhist approaches rewarding as well .. I am assuming you may see through some of the illusions of many of the orthodox paths that seem to require piety ... The paths I'm pointing are thorough in that one seeks one's own mystical experiences without having to take someone else's answers on blind faith ...

if you are truly seeking after God and want Him in your life all you have to do is to say the sinner's prayer Jesus come into my life i want to make you my lord and savior forgive me of all my sins. i now turn my life over to You competely amen.
it is a process get a christian bible and read matthew mark luke and john and then when you are ready to go to church go to an Assembly of God church this church is a bible preaching and spirit filled--holy spirit church

the christian life is not easy you have to stay in the Word of God--Bible and attend church

Perhaps you are looking for spirituality, not God per se. Look up the Unitarian church on line. It's not a cult, but a belief in that there is something insightful to be found in all religions.

Thank you so much, you have made the first of many steps which lead to a PURFICT LOVE one that no amount of words can explain.I my self was a nobeliever until about 3 years ago.I woke up one morning and heard jesus say to my today is the day i want u to know how much i love every thing about u.I know all your fears,shame,sorrow,hate i see u for u the way noone else does and still i love it all.PLEASE KNOW FROM THE BOTTEM OF MY HEART I THANK U FOR SAYING YES TO JESUS.All u have to do every day is believe nothing can take u from gods love,not even our sins.please let me know how journey goes.with much LOVE

Please read the book "Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. He was an atheist/skeptic who decided to research the Bible's claims about God and Jesus and ended up, after seeing the evidence, that it's all true and he believes fully now.
I would recommend that highly.

I would also recommend getting a Bible.
