Maybe for the same reasons that many Christians are so judgemental?

Everyone is intolerant. Some more than others. That's stereotypical just to say that atheists are.

Tolerance is a very bad idea. As Sam Harris says:
The very ideal of religious tolerance—born of the notion that every human being should be free to believe whatever he wants about God—is one of the principal forces driving us toward the abyss.
By failing to live by the letter of the texts, while tolerating the irrationality of those who do, religious moderates betray faith and reason equally.
Religious moderates are, in large part, responsible for the religious conflict in our world, because their beliefs provide the context in which scriptural literalism and religious violence can never be adequately opposed.

Not all are - I am not - but to answer your question, I think they feel the need to balance the argument. Plenty of Christians and Muslims and Jews are intolerant. Athiest are just reacting to that.

Sometimes people are intolerant but maybe if you have a problem with it, you shuold turn your energy around and tell him about being Christian. Maybe that will make them feel better and can help them on their way to God.!

I just don't believe and I don't feel that anyone else should be taught these lies and forced to believe in a false god. Why do you church poeple want to teach your kids that if someone is not in your belief they are lower then you are?
There is no god and never has been and the bible was written by a man. What is so hard to understand about that? I just don't undertand how grown poeple believe in fairytales. And why you want to force it on me. Don't even try to teach that crap to my kids.
Keep your god in your bedroom behind closed doors. Respect the rest of us that don't want to know about it. How nasty can you get to preach that crap in public. makes me sick.

How many times will you ask that question before you realize that you are staring at the mirror? Any question you may have, you might as well ask yourself the same thing. We are all connected, the proof is in creation itself. You can't have one without it's opposite.

Correct me if I am wrong... but atheists don't believe either way ( God or Satan ). How expedient of anti-Christians to hide behind the mask of atheism. Understand that and you understand the agenda of the anti-Christians themselves.
