It is arrogant to claim the bible is truth or true, rather then I believe it to be true, as you cannot know that. It is also arrogant to claim god chooses Christians to go into heaven, as again you cannot know that. This is why it is called a faith!

If so, then we're not 'bad' when we err, we just need more practice aiming. And maybe life is all about adjusting our aim, til we can hit the bullseye every time like Jesus.

Have you ever prayed a prayer like this?

"Lord Jesus Christ,

I know that I am a sinner and there is nothing that I can do to earn my way to heaven. Although I deserve God's wrath, by God's mercy, I accept your free gift of eternal life by faith. I believe that You were born of a virgin and died on the cross to pay the price of my sins. I believe you were buried, rose again on the third day, have ascended into heaven, and will soon come again.

Lord, please forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and take control of my life." AMEN

Many (not me) believe Jesus suffered on the cross for our sins. But Jesus said 'My Father and I are one.' How can God suffer?

I am not a devout Catholic. And there are probably a lot of things within the Catholic faith/tradition that I don't agree with. But I still get a sense of peace in the presence of God (there I said it!) and Mary and company. Why are non-Catholics so adamant about finding the holes and flaws within that religion??

The typical atheist response I get to logic: just dismissal. They can't do anything about the arguments, so they run. I wish I had a faith like you...I get hate mail all the time, so I kinda look forward to it.

I was at a training session for work recently and this really eerie thing happend. As I was talking to a girl there, I began to realize that she another version of me. Her language, tone, tempo, temperment, attitude, sense of humor, etc. were all very similar to my own. She even looked like she coulda been related to me. (But, she definitely wasn't.) I wasn't sure what to feel. I was more intrigued than attracted. But, funny enough I was also kinda uninterested.

How would you feel if you met someone identical to you? Do you think you would get have fun together or be unstimulated by their company?

All religions are just fantasy or mythology or cults, call it whatever you wish. The main religions also have magic tricks which are called miracles in Christianity.

Christians are below average intelligence and tend to be very gullible, that's why when a fence pole or a cheese sandwich has an imprint that looks like a religious face, such as Our Lady, millions will flock to the spot and worship. It's also known as sheep to the slaughter syndrome.

Just watch what happens when another magic trick occurs, for example, the fence pole or cheese sandwich image starts to weep. Just watch how the flock of followers behave. People find it hard to accept reality so escape into fantasy and that’s what religion satisfies. Miracles are all in the mind and are nothing more than trickery.

What if it turns out that thousands of years ago the israelites and their allieswere prophesized to be the cause of a thousand wars because they slighted a vengeful God or one of the Kings of the sons of David did so, and what if that little bit of information was removed from the Old Testament or Revelations during the editorial process? Or maybe that is what is in the lost scrolls of the Dead Sea Scrolls?

If that were the case, then wouldn't Mel Gibson be right? Ah, that could be worthy of research. No matter what you discover you will be much wiser than when you began the research.
