Okay seriously: The clubs in Houston are frequented by the ugliest queens I have ever seen. They allow smoking and are very depressing.
JR's is supposed to be one of the best but even on a good night I am in far better shape than all their go-go boys. Sheeesh, when I go out to see go-go boys, I expect to see quality, not the kind of trash you will find at JR's and Montrose Mining Company. I'll stick to West Hollywood I think.

Nothing near Houston but one on South Padre Island and in Austin at Barton Springs (it is divided into men's and women's sides) there is an enclosed area where public nudity is allowed.

all the gay clubs in houston are in the montrose area. the hottest clubs are Southbeach and Ripcord. montrose also has very good gay-friendly shopping and restaurants. if youir gay and you have to live in houston , live in montrose.
