Have you ever prayed a prayer like this?

"Lord Jesus Christ,

I know that I am a sinner and there is nothing that I can do to earn my way to heaven. Although I deserve God's wrath, by God's mercy, I accept your free gift of eternal life by faith. I believe that You were born of a virgin and died on the cross to pay the price of my sins. I believe you were buried, rose again on the third day, have ascended into heaven, and will soon come again.

Lord, please forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and take control of my life." AMEN

It is based on faith. Do you have faith that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross to forgive you of your sins? You may sin on earth but if you ask for repentance, and you work really hard to not do the same thing again (even though you might, if you do, God will forgive again), I believe, you will go to Heaven. I have never prayed a prayer like that and I probably never will. I don't believe in some of what it says.

I have prayed "THE APOSTLES CREED" many times.

If you have written the prayer, it is a very good personal version of the Apostles Creed.

I will never know if I will go to heaven when I die, unless I'll be sent back here. But I do believe in the existence of heaven and hell. So while living, it's better that I prepare for the place where I want to be.

I don't know for sure what I'm eating for breakfast in the morning, but I have a pretty good idea. When I die, my body (along with my brain) will cease to function and my conscious thoughts will extinguish. I hope that my wishes to be cremated will be carried out and that my ashes will be ritualistically scattered in a couple of places. And the world will go on.

Good prayer....as well, God has several prayers...and the key, to everything, is that even if you ask for forgiveness once, the key, is to stay free from sin....watching out for the temptation of man, the evil of the demons, and most of all, spread the love of God and his wisdom to people in the dark.

Yes, I have, a long time ago now, and I have proved my Saviour and Lord to be faithful in every way. To God be the glory - great things He has done for me!

Oh taste and see that the Lord is good.

Great prayer. We are children of God. God is good. What a great thing it is to believe in God and know that our sins are forgiven. We must also do our part and share as Christians about Jesus Christ. Our Life must also be that of W W J D . Thanks for sharing that prayer.

No,

Firstly I don't anywhere near deserve heaven and it would be
pridefull to say I know I am going to heaven.

Secondly, I do pray like that but often through my actions I reject christ's love and gift of eternal salvation, and GOD won't force me to accept his gift. Actions speak louder than words.

LOVE AND PEACE GO WITH YOU!
