The typical atheist response I get to logic: just dismissal. They can't do anything about the arguments, so they run. I wish I had a faith like you...I get hate mail all the time, so I kinda look forward to it.

If you would research both the historical evidence for the Bible and Jesus, and also look at the scientific evidence for an earth only about 7000 years old... you would find that everything does actually point to say that Christianity is not hard to believe in.

I think it takes WAY more faith to be an atheist, once everything is considered...

I have faith the sun will appear on the eastern horizon in the morning. That faith is based on credible evidence that can be demonstrated to anyone regardless of their own faith or belief.

There is no credible evidence to support God belief, so it requires no faith at all to be an atheist. It only requires accepting the fact that God does not exist in fact.

God belief is based totally on faith that is supported only by faith and nothing else.

It depends on how much you know about the real world. If you know all about evolution and cosmology and have a generally good understanding of other scientific fields then it would take a great deal of faith to believe that a god exists. If you don't know much about the real world then it may be much easier to believe in a deity.

That's why education is so important.

What is logical about the bible? Id dismiss the bible. Point well made.

I would need some illogical idea to believe in to have "faith"

Faith; noun. Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel

HEY JT! Did you ever notice that no one argues that the sun will rise in the morning?

Personally, I think that it takes quite a lot of faith to believe in the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of an ignorant bunch of Bronze Age fishermen and wandering goat herders. Things like:

*  a universe in which all that exists are the earth and heaven
*  solid 'firmament' structure (the sky) separating the earth from heaven (terrarium earth)
*  talking snakes (with legs) and donkeys
*  shepherd staff turning into an asp
*  demons chased out of people and into pigs
*  friendly spirits
*  evil spirits
*  walking on water
*  multiplying loaves and fishes
*  food falling from the sky
*  conception by a ghost
*  people raising from the dead
*  the sun stopping in its tracks
*  parting seas
*  people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the 'other side' of the sky)
*  world-wide flood that drowned the earth to a depth of 40 feet above the tallest mountain
*  creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
*  magical tree of knowledge
*  god speaking from a burning bush
*  ritual cannibalism, by eating god in the form of a cracker

All it takes to be an atheist is enough sense to realize that all that is nothing more than a load of crap.

Yep!...I know what you mean!....there is soooo much Hate mail that comes through this religious/spiritual site from....guess who?....ahteists, evolutionist, agnostics, all GOD Haters!.......In response to your question - does it take more faith to be an atheists or christian, I would say yes!...but I wouldn't call it "faith" on the atheists part, it's called "DECEPTION OF DELUSIONS"!.......It only takes the faith of a grain of a mustard seed to believe GOD! (Matt. 13: 31-33)......why?....because believers have the spiritual manifestations of GOD and atheists don't because they don't believe GOD!...(Hebrews 11: 6)!......

a lot of human beings have wisdom yet lack faith and wisdom to hire that wisdom. No Atheist is greater effective than any Christians and no Christian is greater effective than any Atheist. we are able to all study something or different from one yet another.

It takes more faith to be an atheist. With all the evidences of God around us how can they not believe?

First I wouldn't send you hate mail. Freedom of choice. I have the freedom not to believe and you have the freedom to believe. I respect your right to believe as you will and would not try to change that. All I want is the freedom to believe as I will.

It requires the use of reason to be an atheist, try it some time...only people who use their powers of reason will ever understand atheism...
