The ordination mills on the Internet are not recognized by most churches. Often, people who use them want to be called "reverend," or are in it to perform weddings for a fee.

There are some reputable ones as well, but they check into the experience and background of those who apply.

Otherwise, those who wish to be ordained go to Bible College and/or Seminary. Then they are examined or go through deputation by the church/denomination that will actually ordain them.

The key to that bam deal, is this. Normal ministers have to be ordained by a church...the one that they give you, rent a minister, or other crock scam, sends you a degree, but it's worth about as much as the paper printed on....To become a real minister, pastor, or other church leader, usually there's classes, and you also can work from the inside up in the church....depending on how dedicated you are, but no, it's not really that easy, to become a real minister...trust me, I'm thinking of joining, and they're talking about 3 years of work.

I don't think that is exactly the way it works. Potential ministers must attend a seminary or Bible college of some sort. If ministers are able to be ordained online, it must be some sort of fake type of ministry.

Those credentials are worthless. You need four years of college and three to four years in seminary to be qualified to be ordained. Then you face all manor of psychological tests and when the bishop deems you are ready, you may be ordained. Don't give that web site another thought!

I got mine for free on the net from Universal Life Church. Then if you want a framed certificate and all the accessories you have to pay. A lot of Pagans and non traditional practitioners do that so they can legally officiate at marriages without having to go to a Justice of the Peace.

Not quite the way Jesus anointed His priesthood ministry. The Bible is pretty clear on the qualifications, attributes, and methods for implementing the grace of ministry.
