I notice that some of the big churches do a lot of expanding and helping with big matters that draw attention. What happened to helping the people around you? A lot of them claim to send their money overseas. Don't get me wrong I love going to church. The church I go to gets about 15 million a year in tithes and they help out a lot in missions and things like that, but if someone in the church is in need it seems like they turn the other way.

If I was in a situation where my life was in danger, and I felt like I had to break God's law in order to survive, how would God view me if I broke His law to keep living? Is it ok to kill someone threatening the life of my children? What scriptures can you point me to?

i dont think ive ever believed fully in god...or even believed at all. in fact i believe aliens a lot more.
i am not athiest, i think i am called agnostic...but i have some differences. yes i believe someTHING to be up there, whatever it may be. but i also believe that people who do believe in god are ignorant sometimes. i think god is only a theory becuase the fact that there's nothing up there watching over us is more contraversial to people. if there's no one up there....there is no reason we are here and everything we do is meaningless. i think some people just NEED to believe we are not a lone in this. so i spose i think its bad to believe, but i do not mean i disbelieve in him all the time. he could exist and i leave all options open. when i have really bad things happen in my life.. i do pray but only becuz i think it couldnt hurt...not cuz it necessarily will help.
i guess i just want to know if anyone else leave his or her religion as open as i do?
for all i know it was aliens

It looks like he is doing alot of work learning how this place works. He wants to know the mysterious ways god works in through science. Maybe he exists beyong space and time and is going to use all this knowledge to create earth in the beginning.of time. His recognition of beauty would make his creations very special. His understanding of mathmatical concepts would create universal laws we worked in, and some kind of sacred geometry. I think he would make earth so awesome that I would like to experience it. The catch would be that I had to forget where I came from so I can see this world from a brand new perspective and learn all about it. I think this is more truth than most religions I read about on here.

Should we believe in an historical Hercules? He's mentioned by Tacitus, Josephus and others.
In short, we have as much (that is, as little) evidence for an historical Hercules as an historical Jesus.
