Try going to church first. I think therapy will only give you the reason why you get angry and not so much on how to let it go. I've been to both and I have to say that therapy cost a lot of money (sessions and prescriptions), but church (free) helped me more.

Yes you should, for your own well being. Therapy is a good thing if it can help you come to a positive outcome in you life. I have never gone because I don't have anger issues, but try it, it may help you. Nothing beats a failure but a try.

Of course. It could help, especially if both anger management and the reasons for the anger are addressed. It's not bad or evil to get angry - it's normal. It's when the anger gets away from you and starts making the decisions for you, that's when it's a problem.
Good luck, dear.

If you want to save some money and time, check into meditation instead. It can help you learn to keep control over your anger.
There are many different types of meditation, and there are tons of books on the topic. I recommend going to the library and looking for a copy (or just buy it) of the Idiot's Guide to Meditation or Meditation for Dummies. It'll break down the various methods for you, and list other books on the topic.
An alternative is to sign up for a meditation class. You'll have to check for them in your area.

Therapy is suppose to make you examine yourself and patterns. Regardless if you are angry, sad, happy, or whatever emotions that surface; you should continue, if its helpful. Otherwise; chat with another doctor.

yes - love yourself and love your life. If being angry is preventing you from loving yourself and life it's a good idea. You only go around once, make the best of it
