Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" the LORD says. "Yet I have loved Jacob, but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals. Mal 1:2

Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated" Rom 9:13

My opinion is this:
Fairness deals with what is right. Since God is holy and pure and right, and not us, it is perfectly fair that all of us sinners be judged and condemned by God. But, God does not choose to do that. He desires that no man perish so He sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins so that we might be saved (John 3:16). So, yes it is fair that God loves one and hates another. It is not fair, however, that God would send His Son to die for us so that we might be saved. That was not fair, that was sacrificial love.

Yes it is fair for God said in Romans9:21 that a potter have power over the clay from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor. Don't you agree. God is our maker. He does whatever he pleases to us. Romans9:20 state that man can't reply against God.

God became completely honest. Esau became the 1st born that gave him precise to each and all of the ensures from God, yet Esau did no longer have faith God adequate to furnish for Esau's desires and acquired all off those delivers for a bowl full of nutrition. Esau hated God, which could be proved through fact if absolutely everyone loves God then they're going to obey Him.

No. It's not fair. But life isn't fair. God isn't fair either. God is Just. And justice is a completely separate issue from fairness. Jacob also in these verses symbolizes those who have been forgiven (loved), and Esau those still lost in their sins (hated because of their offenses toward God).

Fairness says that since a thief was hungry, he is to be pardoned by the authorities for stealing.
Justice says that even if the judge or society feels sorry for him, the thief needs to restore what was stolen.

Fairness says that since God is love, He has to give everyone a free pass into heaven. Justice says that even though God loves all people, sin needs to be punished.

Thanks be to God. I've been forgiven.
God bless you.

People expect the Bible to be a story of princess and fairies.

And they Lived Happily ever after Amen.....

No is the reality. The stories in the Bible are not always going to be perfect and beautiful, Everybody loves each others yadda yadaa. They have teachings to apply in our real lifes.

What use would it have it if were perfect and people didnt had conflicts at that time, and nobody suffered.

People have real issues in the Bible, like jealousy between brothers for example.

Esau turned his nose up at his heritage for a bowl of soup.
Fair is a really bad word to include in an accusation against God. Is it fair that Jesus had to die... for us?

This is written in the same context as when Jesus taught that we are to love Him and hate our family. It doens't mean "hate" literally. It means that, in comparison to the degree we are to love the Lord, we hate our family. We still love our family... it's just a comparison thing.
It's written in the same context.

I think it would be a great idea for you to tell God how unfair you think He is at judgment. I am sure you make Him come around to your way of thinking (NOT).. Job tried doing that and was put in his place. You will be too so good luck in that..
