I am an atheist but I always figured there was some sort of historical figure named Jesus at the time. I am reading an article right now that disputes this and it interests me. What do you think and what historical (not the Bible) data do you have that can prove one way or the other.

so why do the christians who happen to support the war, support it? Aren't we killing people? Isn;t that in direct contradiction to what God teaches you? If you do support the war and you say you are a christian, does that mean you really aren't one?

Why aren't you talking about these things with your pastor/priest/rabbi/imam/guru/etc., with your faith community, with members of your social group? When it comes to your best resource for spiritual guidance and discussion, has a computer in your home or office and the cyber community replaced your family, friends, and fellow citizens? What meaning do you draw from this about your day-to-day life as a believer or non-believer?

I know that this a free country, and we have freedom of speech and all, but is it too much to ask for people to just be civil to one another? We don't all have to get along, or like each other, but is peacefully coexisting without being rude, offensive, and hateful to others so much to ask?

It is well established that Adam and Eve had a third son after Cain slew Able and they banished Cain. This son was named Seth and is credited with the generations of Adam and Eve that ensued. Well, I'm here to post this question but it's not my intention to start a riot in this question....But it's the truth! Racism really bothers me, and I feel like strangling many people who say anything racist. Earlier today, I've reported a question from this 'hitlerlover' who insulted Asians, Mexicans, and Blacks and called them the N word...SERIOUSLY shut the hell up...!!!!! I hated the way they said "THE WHITE is the best race...shut up already... I mean, I'm Italian, and I love everybody equally, I have Hispanic/Asian/Black/White/Middle Eastern/Indian friends...and I love them to death....I'm Italian, and a few days ago, Mexicans on my block have vandelized my Italian flag saying that we are copy catters...and that the team cheated in soccer. This really is disapointing..all I said to them was to learn their history because the flag was made 100 years b4 theirs...BUT WHO CARES...WHY CAN'T THERE BE WORLD PEACE!!!??? WHAT HAS THIS WORLD BECOME???!

The site is godisimaginary.com, and a lot of athiest ,i guess, use this link to prove there points. One of the points NDEs (near death experences) and how they can be endueced by ketimen which is used in horse tranqulizers. Well of course it will enduce such an experence, as well as, put some one in a coma. If religion is delusional what the heck happens to the concious thoughts and energies of the person? And how is this an answer to peoples questions?

In some local chinese funeral cremations, why is it that the surviving family members burn paper money printed "Hell's money" if they prayed for the deceased to go to heaven? Doesnt make sense even it is considered symbolic offering.

Aren't people from Canada, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, etc., all Americans? It seems to be a little arrogant for those of us from the US to call ourselves Americans. I am coining a new word for us. The Catholic church has its own manmade set of written policies, some of which collide the Bible.

There may be written suggestions that a celebate male would be better, but not mandatory.

The Catholic Church needs to see that old, elderly men, aren't the only ones who can hold a position in the Catholic church, especially Pope. We need a pope who is in his 20's or 30's too.

Sadly, I find that, with very few exceptions, Yahoo Answers has shown me that there is little to no hope for the future of humanity.
Therefore, I pose one last question to you all, and then I bid thee adieu forever:

Those of you who say, "I don't believe in X because the Bible doesn't mention it," please provide examples, and how you have managed to master the art of suspension of disbelief, even when faced with overwheming evidence in favor, while this amazing talent eludes the majority of us.
