Explain Ex.21:22-23... 22 ¶ If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
I am a Christian and as for myself am oposed to abortion and capital punishment.

Atheism is the opposite of ALL religion.

Prefix [A] without, not, the opposite
Suffix [theis] deity, god

So why is it that ONLY Christians -- supposed followers of Christ, a man who, as I understand it, preached love, tolerance, and turning the other cheek -- are compelled to attack people who don't believe what they believe?

P.S. I'm not am atheist myself, but I get labelled as one and attacked as one simply because when I say "I don't believe in the Judeo-Christian god of the Bible" everyone seems to hear "I am a godless heathen please let me know in as vicious and profane terms as possible what is wrong with me"

There are hundreds of languages in the world and unless God is multi-lingual, communication will be difficult. His son did not speak English, so neither shall He (or She...). To my best opinion, Hebrew. Please share your comments.

I am reading the Qur'an and I must say that what I am finding it quite disturbing.The bible thought me that prophet Lot fornicated with his daughters, that Jesus had died on the cross to atone for our sins, that his mother had married but all this is outrageously rebuked in the Qur'an. Many places Israel is mentioned and heavily vilified and are thought to know about Islam "better than their own sons" and is their duties to accept and to support it. Now this is a great book of science that needed to be broadcasted worlwide for the profit o'mankind. Why are we left out and instead stuck with prejudice? Surely this book is not from a man possessed or a terrorist.
I know your ways o you the gentiles, the fanatics, the touchy bully semitic I urged you to hold your peace and answer only if you know as I am interested in the truth only, about the Qur'an, Mohamed, Islam and its teaching. Does Islam stand for peace, are Abraham, Moses and Jesus muslims as stated in the Qur'an? Who's paul?

I myself am straight, but I accept (although I do not necessarily support) gay people and their rights. Why do people, especially on Answers, have to be so hateful toward them? If they want to be this way, let them. It doesn't really seem to be a reason to call them names and spew religion at them, they are most likely not going to be convinced anyway.

Can't we just all get along and be friends? I'm for peace. Anyone else?

I am NOT insulting the religion...
I just have a simple question.

I was just listening to the album Tommy by The Who, and they bring up a good point. If you are blind and deaf, and you don't know who Jesus is or what praying is, how can you be saved?

Here are the lyrics:

"And Tommy doesn't know what day it is.
He doesn't know who Jesus was
Or what praying is.
How can he be saved
From the eternal grave?"

I know some people get upset and there really are too many handicapped spaces at the mall because no body ever use them all even at christmas. I get mad at my mom because sometimes she goes and parks in the spot even if I'm not with her just so she can park up front. I tild her thats wrong.

i think, if you dont know english, dont come here. and definately dont try to talk to me with your broken up dialect. i dont want to have to concentrate on interpreting your garbled sentence structure. i wouldnt try to go to another country without learning the basics first. prejudice towards other races i am not. but walking in my neighborhood and communicating is nearly impossible. why should i learn their language, they didnt bother to learn ours and their in our house. i say screw them and if they dont know english, make them pay money every week theyre here until they learn. english classes are free. i dont worry about their feeling towards this post because the f**kers cant read it hah hah hah. how bout you? wanna vent on these tax consuming indivduals
