marriage is a ritual to say two people promise to love eachother. Its recognised legally and has been going on for thousands of years because religious people think that it is a thing of god but its happend before religion and god

Im alittle confussed what do you mean by safegaurded? Do you not want God to recognize your marriage? God see's and Knows all by the way. If you are trying to hide what you are doing from him then what you are doing is most likely wrong and you most likely already know that. If you want him to recognize it but are questioning whether he will or not then you might want to talk to a real Minsister, priest, preacher or Father (depending on your religion) to see what they think bc im not sure if i think what you are doing is right or not. I feel like when im reading your question that you are trying to get someone to tell you its okay to do something you know in your heart is wrong. If this is true You might want to think about it alittle more bc if you have on religous belief and your soon to be husband another and you dont agree with him but want to marry him and take up his beliefs bc you love him you should know there is a chance that you could be looking at alot of issues and alot of heart ache ahead. So know what you are getting into before you do it.

Depends on what you feel. I'm an ordained minister off of the internet too and have performed many legal marriages in my own religious context.

Marriage was originated by God and ordained by God both for believers and non believers. If you get married you are accountable to God for the vow that you made.

Adam and Eve were married in a garden, with no witnesses but God. :o) With that said, take the vows seriously and God will recognize it. Make certain, though, that your local government recognizes it too so you are legal in the secular world as well. God wants us to be legal. :o)

God will recognize your marriage regardless. You can run but you can't hide. If you don't want your marriage to be ordained by God then don't get married because God recognizes all marriages. If you don't want to please God just shack up and live in sin. He hates that. Peace.

God may recognize it but likely the state won't unless you are in one that recognizes a common law marriage.

:) ... God sees what your friends intentions were.. God is most understanding and is pleased im sure of it by your friends devotion. tell your friend to keep on going down the thin, rocky path, because it is the only way to God.
