I will be turning 18 in a month and I have always wanted a tattoo since I was little. I was at a family function and I mentioned this and my family went nuts saying I shouldn't. People don't realize that teachers are people too and they have a right to get a tattoo. It doesn't make them a bad teacher, it makes them an individual. It is beautiful art. What do ya think?

We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die, because they are never going to be born. We are privileged to be alive, and we should make the most of our time on this world.

Was Joseph the natural father of Jesus?
Is that the story they came up with because Mary had premarital sex? Did they tell him the story of the angel, the wise men, etc. when he was a boy?

I called someone today, and as i was talking..i run out of breath, then my voice starts to tremble as i ran out of air.. and it's not like i'm speaking fast. i'm not even good at speaking and i speak slow.
People think i am about to cry or that i'm really nervous, but i'm not.. it's just i ran of breath, and my eyes start waterying also.
How do people grasp air so that they have enough to say long sentences? I'm 26/male.

I'm just curious, does anyone believe in past lives? I do. I know it might sound weird, but when I go vist old historical houses I feel a weird connection. And I've always had an intrest in life back in the 17th century and stuff like that. I don't know what that means, or if it means anything.

Islamics are increasing in Europe rapidly. They are comitting all sorts of barbaric crimes and no one there seems to really care or realize the threat for the fear that they would be considered a racist.

Will eurabia eventually happen or will Europe take care of its own problems?

What do you predict, little nostradomuses?

'and the Lord said to Samuel, "Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them."'

Isn't it clear that the one legitimate king of Israel was God, and that the human rulers, noble and worthy though they may have been, were not the true intended kings? That therefore the only one who could be King of Israel (the Messiah) is God?

Muslims first prayed towards Jerusalem, then when Mohammed gained control of Mecca he changed the direction of the qeblah to Mecca. It is also at this time that the Hajj, a ritual performed by the pagan Arabs in the Arabian peninsula, became incorported into Islam.
Why did God change his mind about the qeblah?

you all think a little (maybe). Those that give stupid answers...I'm "over" stupidness on here so that won't count. In reality, a lot of us have met people on here (email) --- helped each other, felt comfortable sharing stories, answers, questions in life, politics (big time fights). Why do we feel "comfortable" here but when we walk out our front door we don't communicate like we do here? I mean, there really ARE good people in the world. Is it just "safe" here for most of us or what? I enjoy Yahoo QA - but the truth..do any of you go in the "real world" and talk to people - find out what they are about? Meet someone in line at the grocery store and smile and "chat" - I guess I'm asking because I don't know why I feel comfortable here as opposed to the real world. How about U???

People in the U.S. and Canada are going to need religious understanding and tolerance in the future. These two countries are the most religiously diverse countries in the world -- and are becoming increasingly diverse. If current trends reported by the American Religious Identification Survey (ARIS) continue:
bulletThe percentage of adults in both countries who identify themselves as Christian will continue to drop by about 0.8 percentage points per year.
bulletSome commentators predicted that adults in the Protestant denominations of Christianity probably became a minority sometime during 2006
bulletChristians will become a minority in in Canada about 2023 and in the U.S. about the year 2042.
