If there is no god then how was the Earth, people, and all other things created. Atheists, I am not out to prove you wrong or question your beliefs, I just want to understand.

It's not possible to properly explain it in a few sentances. In real life, the way things happen is somewhat complex. If you're willing to read a few web pages, and you're willing to learn a lot of new things, you'll be able to learn how it happened.
First, it's important to remark that nothing was "created"; it happened naturally. Second, here are some good web pages explaining these things:

How earth happened:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth#History

The solar system:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formation_of_the_solar_system

The universe:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Bang

Life:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_of_life
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution

If you don't know much about physics and/or chemistry, you might find the "universe" one and the "life" ones a bit hard to understand. The others are fairly clear, though.

Keep in mind that we don't know where the "stuff" that makes up the universe came from. We don't know if it even "came from" anywhere at all.
That, however, is not an indication that god exists. That is an indication that we, as humans, do not know everything - a fact of which you were undoubtedly already aware. A failure of human learning does not constitute evidence of a god.

you asked a few different questions, and each one has a different answer. here's the simplest answer i can give you.

well, provided you can believe that the big bang occurred about 14 billion years ago, then it's pretty easy to grasp how the earth was able to develop about 4.5 billion years ago.

if you understand the nature of chemistry, then you should be able to understand the nature of replication. (molecules find counterparts and sorta build things out of themselves. it's just their nature to do this. they don't need god.)

because things do not always copy perfectly, this allows for variation. once you have varied replicators, then selection can play a role in which replicators are the most successful. the most successful ones will create the most copies of themselves.

after 4 billion years of this sort of selection, some of the lineages of these replicators were able to become more and more refined with each generation until finally human beings had evolved.

like i said,, this is the simplest answer i could give. if you'd like to learn more, then you can look up the words i've used. also you can try doing research on "abiogenesis" and "darwinism". it's a lot to learn though, so don't expect to understand it all over night.

also, i can't explain where the big bang came from or why it happened. some people have theories, but i don't know much about it. the answer "god did it" is highly problematic though and solves nothing. one can simply ask "well what made god?", and there can only be two answers:

1. god made himself. (which is not an answer)

2. god just always existed. (which ca also be said for the universe).

I'm a Christian too, and I was relieved to find someone else asking the same thing. The most interesting part is, if you were to take all the evidence for creationism, and all the evidence for evolutionism, creationism wins by a long shot!

In fact, the debate should have stopped once DNA was discovered - now that we know of DNA, there is scientific proof (many different scientific proofs) that all life was created by some sort of intelligent being. We know that this 'intelligent being' was God.

I would encourage anyone who accepts the big bang theory to read this article - it is based 100% on science and may change your views considerably - or at least give you an understanding of why we are so confident in disagreeing with evolutionism.

>>> In addition to some of the other comments I've read, I'd like to say a thing or two about 'logic.' Our logic is based on repeated observation. Suppose we shot a bullet at a balloon. It would pop, and we know it would pop because we have observed similar things happen millions of times. But it is still JUST OBSERVATION. God is not governed by OUR logic. Us humans cannot say that creation was impossible based on our logic, because during creation, God was not governed by our logic. He has his own set of 'regulations' (for lack of a better word) that he follows, and us humans will never have a chance of comprehending them completely. Here's another link that elaborates better than I can on this issue: http://www.christiananswers.net/q-aiia/aiia-miracles2.html

Oh - and thank you to LZ1980 for that wonderful piece of fiction below - I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Why do you assume everything had to be created? Its possible it always existed (in one form or another).

Man evolved, like others species, from single-celled organisms. To learn about that, look up "pre-biotic evolution". Also read about Stanley Miller's experiments.

The big question is, why do people think that not knowing all the answers is an excuse to believe in god? The ancient Greeks believed that the sun was the flaming chariot of Apollo. Why didnt they just admit they didnt have all the answers instead of inventing a god? Why do people of today make the same mistake?

The answer, there is a God, who created all. The one thing the Atheist can't explain when it comes to creation of life, is where did the information come from. They may try to explain life coming from some primordial soup, but the building blocks of life is DNA. Scientist now know that the DNA code is a digital code, which means it couldn't have evolved, it had to have been created. That's another reason they have never fond any missing links; the digital code is unique, producing after it's own kind.

I want to understand how they can think that too....and as another point; How can everything work so perfectly together if it wasn't mastermind by something so incredible, such as, trees breath out oxygen which is what we breath in-effectively cleaning our air. And then our bodies work so perfectly, for the most part-we cut ourselves and heal, many times after a stroke or heartattack the blood will create a new pathway in its destination. And then what scientist are learning now, that our eco system is very dependant on everything else, and loosing one species can a will wreck havoc on the rest of the universe........so, just how can they not believe in some incredibly intelligent being?

Not really an atheist, but some people follow the "Big bang theory" in which the entire universe just popped into existence one day, and eventually evolution created us from single celled organisms into the creatures we are today.

I don't know all the answers, but I do have a really neat poster of Jesus jumping on a trampoline; that's what I understand.

That is because there was some Big Bang from which our universe and the time emerged. Then, after a long time, people like you and me were created as a product of a long evolution process. And they started to tell each other about God`s creation, which is just basically a creation of their weird minds.
Oh how do I love Jesus.

If there is a god, how was HE created?

Invoking a "god" does not answer your own question.

Frankly, you don't seem to have actually thought this question through. Otherwise you'd realize that neither christians NOR athesis have an answer to it.

PS: saying that "god is and always was" is 100% as satisfactory an answer as saying that "the universe is and always was". Sorry to point out the fact that your position is without logical basis. Enjoy your superstition!

ever thing was made by God, and the reason the atheists are so up set when we say this to them is because they just have theories that half way make sense but they cannot prove them anymore then us that believe can prove that Bible is true. you will only know the truth when the presents of God is on you.
