I feel that if u are truly secure with your sexuality then u have no problems with homosexuals. The people who gay bash and claim to hate homosexuals are the ones who are unsure of their own sexuality. They may be latent homosexuals. Think about it

I always find it hilarious when people start quoting the bible said this and the bible says that. If we are to believe the bible then God created Adam and Eve to procreate the rest of humanity. So this means that all the children of Adam and Eve were sleeping with each other. So God condones brothers and sisters sleeping together. Yet no one says thats wrong or a sin. So christians are ok with incest (at least now we know what they mean by brotherly love!). But should two strangers fall in love of the same sex then this is definitely sin? Also there was no wedding ceremony performed so not only did Adam and Eve have sex out of wedlock, all their children were bastards. I'm straight and a non christian (you might have guessed) but i don't see christianity as a bad thing in and of itself. If it helps people or gives them comfort, then i applaud that. But when bigots and narrow minded people hijack a faith then terrible things happen. Can anyone tell me where in the bible it said that blacks should be slaves and shot and burnt because of the colour of their skin? seems a lot of christians saw that somewhere in the bible! I could have sworn their is a commandment; thou shalt not kill! but maybe that doesn't relate to christians. I think they forgot to read that bit. I say let people be who they are. If there is a God then surely He/She is the only one that can judge, because as history testifies, christians are notoriously bad at understanding the bible and its teachings. The murder, the torture, the abuse, all done in Gods name........ Is this what the bible teaches! I think not.

I'm for peace too... interesting question here. I think that there will always be a divide about something or other! Black/White, Fat/Thin, Hairy/Bald, Gay/Straight, Pretty/Ugly, Rich/Poor, like you say.. peace...... I had a friend who said I hate gays.. turned out her son is gay...... she nearly had a nervous breakdown.. He is a lovely lad I told her.. never in trouble.. always works.. got good friends.. loves his Mum.. what more can she want.. She said Grandchildren.. to this I said well your daughter has given you one to look after and one in Bangladesh.. isn't that enough grandchildren.. sigh! Lets all sign a pledge.. not to judge or make someone else unhappy.

People sometimes profess to hate that which they don't understand. Look at the Ku Klux Klan. They have no reason to hate people who are different but they do because they are scared of people that aren't carbon copies of themselves(not a joke) Hate is usually self destructive and makes fosters prejudice. It would be nice if all could enjoy and share this world. And I am a straight anglo-saxon protestant.

I think the reason that (some) straight people hate gays is because of ignorance. They don't agree with the lifestyle and they don't understand why they are the way they are. I think that ignorance is one of the big reasons for hatred. I personally don't agree with the gay lifestyle, but it is their life and it is up to them to live it they way the see fit.

The problem has only come into being since they have been given greater rights than the Heterosexual part of the community. For instance why should a couple of queers have the right to adopt when they are not able to have children for very real reasons and a normal couple who could have children but for problems with the fertility of one of the partnership are turned down. there is no way in a normal world that homosexuals can have children.

They are hateful because they are intimidated by anything out of the "ordinary". I think they are terrified that anyone who is gay will try to convert them.
I say live and let live. We are all as God created us. Deal with it.

I'd suspect that it's an instinct to be intolorant of anything different to what we consider to be 'righteous' or 'acceptable' or 'normal'. I 'hate' to 'hate' & know it's 'not right' to name call, yet I'm also aware of a certain reaction of unvoluntary & 'natural' repugnance brought about by a dog humping my leg.
